Going into tonight's game vs Orlando, Dwight Howard is one rebound away from sole-possession of 10th All-Time in rebounds.

How fitting to do it in Orlando. They better have some graphic up there to recognize him.

Possible Graphic choice

4 rebounds/game x 70 games/season x 2 seasons = 560

It's incredible now but if he pass Duncan, whoa

He's had a very respectable career. If we had some shooters in the backcourt, would help him get some regular PT.

Back spasms. He is questionable for tomorrow as well.

Carter and Howard over Liliard and Davis, without a doubt.
I mean, Durant higher than Curry?
Giannis so high up?

I get the mix of old and new but that too 75 list is not spot on.

Hopefully the time off gave his back the rest it needed. We desperately need his energy and defensive presence down the stretch.

I get they needed to add some 'newer' guys onto the list to keep it relevant, but the criteria to make the list is just......suspect

Not sure how much winning is a criteria too, because you see guys like Dame and Harden up there.

Who glitched 2013 Howard into the game

Dwight played well and finished with a season high of 24 points.
No one expects this on a nightly basis but, at this point, Howard should be the starting center.
He provides a lot of what we need, rim protection and energy.

Dwight was great tonight. But he came into the game averaging 4 points 4.4 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks in 15 minutes on the month. He averaged being a net -6.5 points in 15 minutes this month, including tonight's game.

Tonight was a rarity where he was able to score effectively still. But he clearly has lost something over the past couple years due to age. Love the effort. In some match ups he absolutely needs to be out there. But I don't think Dwight is the secret ingredient here.

Dwight did very good against Embiid. With AD and LeBron in this game, the Lakers would have likely won it.

We can't expect 24/10 Dwight to show up on a consistent basis though unfortunately.

That's what I was thinking. 2013 Howard had back and shoulder issues but he was still an easy 20/15 guy. Now if we go to 09 Howard, that's the beast who deprived us of a Lebron vs Kobe finals. No doubt we would have had the highest rated finals series of all time.

No one expects him to be... But it shows that he is serviceable. Imagine if he had a consistent solid playing time. I think he's more productive than his stats shows... Hard to get going when you play 10-15 minutes, even harded when you play one night then get benched the next few games.

Dwight Howard has been on a late season roll. He's rested, energized and looking spry as ever.
He had another pretty good game vs Utah. His defense is not as dynamic as it once was but for rim protection and rebounding, right now, he's the best we have to offer.

    Stats: - Double-Double!

      21 pts (9-13 FG/ 1-1 3PG/ 2-3 FT), 10 RB, 1 STL

i mean dwight is still useful, he just can't do it all the time, every game. he's old, but he's a savvy vet with gas left in the tank. he, LBJ (and AD) need young legs to carry them the majority so they can pick their spots and minutes.

right now, everyone is too damn old (and/or short) on this team

I agree. If given the opportunity to rest, he is still a terrific backup C.
