I’ve never seen a player under 33 decline this quickly in a span of 3-4 years without a major injury before. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Told you so! This is one of those times I wish I was wrong about Westbrick and he would surprise me. Whelp, now is the interesting part. How will the Lakers handle adversity. Not gunna be easy to move Westbrick. If you give away (bleep), then you've gotta take back (bleep). _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!

I'm not going to overreact based on this one game and preseason, but I just don't see how Westbrook fits into the Lakers offensive scheme even if he made his shots tonight.
If you have LeBron on your team, you want the offense to go through him, there aren't many players in league history that are better.
What is Westbrook's role then? He's not a spot up shooter nor does he play well off the ball. I suppose he could be the primary ball handler whenever LeBron is out of the game, but that is a lot to pay for a bench player.
Just doesn't seem like a wise personnel move to piece together a championship team. I hope the Lakers prove me wrong.
Vogel, pleeeeeease bring WB off the bench this season. He can shine playing with our 2nd unit and against the opponent's 2nd unit. There's not enough opportunity for him to have the ball in his hands playing with Lebron and AD, and he needs the ball in his hands to be effective on offense.

No way Westbrook comes off the bench. _________________
This is so painful because this was seen miles away. He doesn’t fit with Lebron and at this point in his career he is a stat padder on bad team type player.
I was hoping I was wrong on him, but he has somehow played even worse than what I was imagining. The worst part is he is untradeable and he is too big to be benched.

Sub him out early and bring him back when lebron goes out.
Looks like he doesn't know his role yet. And for that matter, I dont think the coaches know his role yet either. Hope they figure it out.
This.
He’s not playing his game at all. A lot of times he’s playing off-ball. He is not an off-ball player.
Umm.. this is the exact reason we should not have signed him. Hes going to get major minutes and hes not getting benched. The only way this season ends in a chip is if he figures out how to completely change his game and becomes an efficient offball player next to Lebron.

Vogel doesn’t trust him, he also puts Rondo in with Westbrook. _________________
Lakers FO are full of idiots who know nothing about basketball that just happen to have gotten Lebron and AD. It's very hard to not be able to build a championship contender with Lebron and AD as your core but Rob and Co look like they've managed to do it. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!
Obviously I knew it wasn't a perfect fit when the trade happened. Westbrook is clearly the 3rd best player out of our big 3, but you can't treat him like a 3rd guy like Bosh/Love. He needs the ball. So if you are just having him watch the action trying to snatch offensive rebounds just so he feels involved then you are in trouble.
Starting 2 bigs already set him up for failure. It's not a good fit, but he is here and Vogel needs to find a way. When Lebron sits you can't have Westbrook off the ball doing nothing and Rondo handling.
And yes I know Westbrook just played bad and we can't blame that on Vogel. We already traded for him though. So we have to accept that he is going to struggle offensively at times. All you can do is put him in his best position to succeed.
