I have heard NOTHING but great things about Russ off-court. Family man, philanthropist, everything positive.

But he changes into a different persona on court. Just sad it didn't work out but it is what it is.

He'll be a unanimous 1st ballot HOFer, but the end of his career, might get ugly. Hopefully he can accept his current station in life.

Russell got that DOG in him. He never counts himself out. He plays with a lot of energy. If he is traded.. I will be sad. Honeslty if AD had Westbrooks dgaf mindset and was more of an alpha male Lakers would be top 4 in west easy.

I’m not seeing the gain in DLO over Westbrook personally.

Not the gain level of 2 draft picks.

Spilled milk I guess but really should have done the Pacers deal over this. We need wings and bigs who defend and shoot 3s around AD-Bron.

This trade is giving us neither.

Save the picks and sign DLo in the summer with FA money.
Beasley isn’t that good a player either.

We won’t save our season with this, but yes I agree we can be a bit better especially on offense with these guys

I think most here agree that moving forward without Russ on the roster is better than him here. So by replacing him with 3 good role players, it's a big step up. All 3 will have value going forward (if D'LO's contract is fair) and we can move them for a star player soon - see Kyrie. This is really a smart move that sets up future nicely.

As I was catching up on this thread Shams just tweeted that the trade is finalizing.

I think I speak on behalf of all Laker fans when I say good riddance, clown.

From hometown hero to hometown disgrace.

Last game was Lebron passing Kareem.

He didn’t deserve that much.

I wish him well. He might not have the bbiq, but I will never doubt he gives 110% every game. Just bad fit for us.
Clippers would be a good fit for him

The Chicago Bulls are interested in signing Russell Westbrook should he secure a buyout with the Utah Jazz, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

Interesting ride as a Laker but one thing I'll say is he never doubted himself and played with a level of confidence AND energy I wish all NBA players play with.

Wish Russ all the best. Players love him and for good reason, it just didn’t work on the court. Maybe he finds himself on a team with great spacing/POA defense.
