6 Laker guards vs. Phoenix tonight
7 for 39 from the field
2 for 17 from 3
16 total points

We could have used a guy like Damian Lillard putting up 55.

Despite the fact that his team lost, that was one of the all time great playoff games by an individual....incredible....

And yes our two starting guards putting up a combined 0 points from the floor will not get it done in the modern or even the pre-historic NBA.

All is not lost -- Lakers could still win a Game 6 at home and a Game 7 on the road. But acquiring a legitimate 20 ppg scoring guard in the offseason couldn't hurt.

Worst part is that both Rondo and Danny Green are hitting over 50 percent from three in the playoffs so far. And both guys have contributed in other ways and are inarguably amongst the five best players on their respective teams. Lakers outthought themselves in the offseason.

Yet if AD was hurt last year and Lebron was running at 65% capacity they would have lost last year as well. But let’s fantasize. Fact is both guy s last year were monsters and this year are hurt or diminished.

The problem is both Rondo and Green didn't shoot that good with the Lakers last year. Players that shoot well on other teams seem to not shoot that good when they come to the Lakers. It's like they are cursed.

The pressure and media coverage are totally different. No hiding or sliding under the radar. Many markets allow for that, but L.A. isn't one of them.
