Maybe we should just give up

We should unless we want to risk more injured and not being able to compete next year.

Or if someone have magic potion that can heal everyone 100%.

Not looking good from here on out

With that logic, maybe the Lakers should not even play at all next year either - everyone risks getting injured if they play even 1 game. Take next season off.

I've been saying this for a while.

But.

Lol...

Please think before you type.

We had almost no time to rest between last season and this season.

And with AD being down now, and likely to get injured again even if he come back is very high.

Lebron as well still recovering and Lebron is like an iron man.

Look at what happened to Klay and Durant, and they are both super young.
(Though it was worth the risk for them as they were in the finals and within few games to the championship)

How is it the same scenario when we have plenty time to rest this offseason and come back strong next season

Yes it is heart breaking to admit it.

But I am gonna cheer for the Clippers to get bounced.
Would make me feel better

2-2 in a series and the sky is falling? Game 5 can go either way considering CP3 is a little hurt.

Vogel will make adjustments if AD is out. Schroeder and Trez are capable of taking on bigger scoring roles. The only concern will be patching up the defense.

It’s the long term outlook, even if we win this series Davis won’t be himself this year. When you don’t return during a pivotal playoff game it means something. Groin injuries suck, compound that with his other lingering issues, I don’t see him being healthy enough for us to compete.

This is the Lakers, no one cares about winning the first round.

And at the cost of what?

It is championship or bust

18 and 9 with 3 steals and the CP3 is hurt card can't be played anymore. Lakers are done if AD is not on the floor.

Hell NO.

We def need AD to win but imo we will play better without 2 bigs in the paint in this series. LeBron is about to go nuclear.

If Davis can’t bounce back, you’re almost certainly right. But this was always true. Health was always going to be the X factor for this team. If it scuttles the playoff run, that sucks, but so be it.

But what it sounds like you're saying is that we shouldn't even bother to try winning.

Just because injuries cost Klay 2 seasons and Durant a season, you cannot equate that to saying that LeBron is going to suffer a season ending injury if we advance past the first round this season

I would love to see a Utah v Milwaukee finals.

Adam Silver can think twice about not catering to the stars in big markets.

I don’t think I count the Lakers out yet.

Even though they lost today they actually played even with the Suns all quarters except the 3rd which could be perhaps some shell shock over AD not being able to play.

They are capable of beating the Suns without AD, definitely difficult but you still have AD2 DS Lebron and if KCP comes back, the chances are even better. Although the 3 ball has been off, his defense was missed today.

And if AD still needs the 3rd round to return, they match up decent against Denver, not sure against Portland.

Realistically lebron would have to carry big time, we are talking 35/10/10 for 2 more games to get out of this series with no AD. If he can do it, we could in theory even beat denver with just lebron in another hard fought 6 games. Let’s hope it doesn’t take that and AD can come back by game 6 and us down 3-2 is probably best case scenario.

Slow the pace to a crawl and suffocate them on defense. We might be able to steal game 5

How is it not similar?

Lebron is 37 years old.

He is playing on an injury, this is super dangerous.

And now with AD out, he has to carry extra load.

Add to the fact we didn’t get much rest from last season.

Lol the writing are all on the wall, it is recipe for disaster if we think we can still go balls out and win it all with a hobbled Lebron

Stay confident fellas - Lebron ain’t going to let us go out like chumps. We found a good unit late we can use to close and hopefully Vogel manages the lineups better now that he can prep for AD being out.
