It feels like ending up on the Knicks is a pretty big possibility. And if Drummond goes there in trade, they keep his bird rights and have deep pockets. So that would be a pretty good situation for him too.

Yes, just looked at it and they could do this trade:

Andre Drummond

for

Austin Rivers
Nerlens Noel
Frank Ntilikina
Kevin Knox II

Cleveland gets a free look at all these guys and saves almost 10 million. They will never get that in a buyout.

For Drummond - joining a championship team to rebuild his value makes sense to me. He can leverage his performance on either the Lakers or Nets for more dollars in the offseason - similar to Rondo.

If hes smart. NYK or lakers should be his choice. Both teams have coaches who have successfully utilized centers. hell vogel turned hibbert into an all star. If he goes to Nets he will be used far less. especially with dantoni developing plays. IMHO

NYK less chance of ring but thibs is really strong in playoff situations.

I think the Bird rights issue is, or should be, something he should consider. Nets/Lakers cannot offer him a big extension as they would only have taxpayer MLE.

Maybe he can get his money as a free agent, but there's no guarantee. I think he would look good for the Knicks and since they would have his Bird rights, they could keep him long term too.

Drummond to the Celtics makes too much sense.

I wouldnt doubt that is where he's traded to.

Per sources, Andre Drummond will be signing with the nets. They get some reinforcement on the defensive end and the glass. Look for them to still be active around the trade deadline lol

Idk but if Drummond is still a Cavalier by the 25th of March, then expect him to get a buyout.

I still doubt Drummond gets bought out.

- Knicks want to be relevant and they're in the playoff picture.. I could see them easily trading for him.
- Celtics don't want to see him bought out and walk to the Nets when they have a TPE just sitting their waiting to expire
- Dallas has the pieces to make a deal work while not jeopardizing their long term plans

Now IF, big if, he gets bought out, you offer him the starting job and tell AD and LeBron to go all out on convincing him he's the missing piece to the us having our own big 3. Obviously it's not true but make him believe it.

Maybe the Lakers could trade a 2nd Round pick for him?

Oh, wait, no they can't, cause they already gave it to the Cavs to take McGee (who the Lakers also want)...lol

Their poor center play will likely be why the Lakers don't repeat...

You have to match his 26 million salary anyway. This is just stupid.

With the savings in mind, that's about as good a deal as they can get.

Robinson is a WR for the Bears something tells me he is just hoping that Drummond goes to the Nets.

In theory, does the math fit for Blake min, Drummond buyout another min then trade dinwiddie for a buddy hield?
