I've been doing consistently well on a combination of airline companies, Boeing and gas companies. Even as the daily swings have been happening, they've continued to trend upward.
American Airlines, United, Boeing, Delta and Occidental Petroleum are still way undervalued if you look at pre-pandemic numbers. Earned a lot on Chevron and Exxon, but I think they are mostly tapped out at this point. Going to sell those soon I think. Another one I've done well in is Citigroup, which I should hold onto for a little.
I think once these short term stocks are done, I'm going to go back to long term investing. Don't have the time to do the work, so will just park my money in long term stocks. I think I will invest in clean energy, especially battery manufacturers and lithium producers. Might put some long term money in automobile manufacturers, especially Chinese companies like NIO. Speaking of chinese companies, I think Alibaba is a good stock to hold long term too. They were up to close to 300 and now down to 233 due to Chinese intervention, but that's done, and they should bounce back soon enough. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

2 weeks ago GME was at $44. It's now at $194. Too funny. Didn't get my beak wet this time around. But I'm happy for those who did. |

I sold off some more stuff end of day yesterday that had been flat so I could buy Tesla just before the market closed. It was looking too juicy to pass up at that price yesterday. Did that, then sold Tesla today, lol.
TTD is back up. Need it to go a little higher and I will probably sell off the extra I bought there. AMZN also nice bounce.
GME ... I can't play that game. Feels like the bottom should just drop out. Insane it's still going on. |

I couldn't help myself. I bought way out of the $ calls when it dropped to $190 today. The juice from the forbidden fruit was just too tempting. |

It is now 618 but I guess anyway it is a good price for Tesla. Don't think it will go much lower. |

I am also thinking about buying some Tesla shares but it is not the best moment right now I believe. In the foreseeable future the price will go down.

Sold today at 163 for a $40 profit but immediately regretted it as it went to $170. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Tesla pissed off China. It could go either way in a hurry, especially if they get the Google treatment. _________________ PBO Magic - the gift that keeps on giving. |

These are the reasons the stock market should never be confused with the economy. With derivatives and insider trading and shorts and squeezes and all manner of other instruments and maneuvers, it’s a large complex game more than a stable indicator of fundamentals. _________________ “We must always take sides. Personally, because it's an environmental and technological disaster and one of the most disgusting wastes of computing power in history. We used to use distributed computing to try to do things with SETI or to solve protein folding, but now we just solve junk equations. At a critical juncture when we as a world need to be lowering our carbon footprint and doing everything we can to combat climate change, here we have the most wasteful "currency" anyone could have ever dreamed up. It's horrible.
And before I hear "proof of stake" will solve this, at that point don't the biggest bag holders just become a central bank?
When random idiots on the street are telling everyone to buy crypto to get rich, every warning siren should be going off for everyone. |

Lets not forget people are buying into new crypto hoping it will usurp the previous ones....
Also good luck trying to build computer these days with all these hardware shortages. |

Yeah nobody can actually buy a new video card these days. It sucks. The 4000 series NVIDIA cards will be out before anyone can even get a 3000 series. |

You have to go prebuiilt at this point. I never in my life thought I'd buy an Alienware but I had to just to score a 3080. Also scored a used 3070 for a "steal" at only $1000 lol. It's ridiculous. _________________ KOBE |

if you are waiting on a stock to bottom out before buying you should look into a wheel strategy where you sell put options at your price target. If the stock fails to hit your strike, you collect the premium. If it does drop lower, you get assigned and take ownership of the stock at that level. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

I bought 6 k of ViacomCBS post-Archegos thinking 43.50 was as low as it would go... Now down to 37. I also bought 6 k of Twitter the other day at 52.83. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
