NO SCHRÖ EITHER BUT AC WILL PLAY

Per Trudell

No LeBron, Schroder or Kuzma tonight for LAL.

Talen Horton-Tucker is a game-time decision after missing the last two contests with a sore calf.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1391548575063056386?s=21

Per Goon

Frank Vogel says Alex Caruso will play even though his foot is sore. Praises a “gritty, gutty effort” against Portland guarding Damian Lillard and scoring a season high 18 points, says he was “exceptional” against Portland.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1391548714028650496?s=21

Per Trudell

Alex Caruso continues to have pain in his foot, but Frank Vogel said it’s a soft tissue issue, and therefore one where he has to deal with pain, but they don’t worry he can make it worse moving forward. Vogel called him “exceptional” in playing through it at POR (18 points).

MORE ON SCHRÖ

Per Goon

Frank Vogel said the Lakers are hopeful that Dennis Schröder can return for the final two games and that he’s “engaged” even though he’s limited in what he can do for his conditioning in the COVID-19 protocols.

GOOD NEWS - THT

Per Goon

Wesley Matthews will start tonight for Kyle Kuzma. Looks like Talen Horton-Tucker is AVAILABLE.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1391567633493893122?s=21

Per Trudell

Wesley Matthews will start for Kyle Kuzma (who’d been starting for LeBron James).

Alex Caruso continues to fill in for Dennis Schroder, alongside KCP, Matthews, Davis and Drummond.

Talen Horton-Tucker is available off the bench after missing the previous two games.

ICYMI - LEBRON PRACTICED NO COMMITMENT YET ON PLAYING TOMORROW

Late pass for me, I was on set today. But anyway yay progress…

Per McTen

Frank Vogel says LeBron James was a full participant in Lakers practice today. He would not reveal what that means for LeBron’s availability tomorrow for the Knicks game.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1391849481700659200?s=21

Per Woj

Much more optimism on state of LeBron James’ right ankle after on-court work Sunday and Monday, sources tell ESPN. James was pain-free after several days off – and able to make hard cuts and elevate. Return on Tuesday vs. Knicks is likely.

PRELIM INJURY REPORT

Per Goon (press release at link)

LeBron James listed as … out?

We’ll see if that holds up.

Among other notable statuses, Kyle Kuzma listed as probable.

https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1391912013748527104?s=21

(I am going to the banner raising game so if LeBron decides to wait for that that’s fine with me. )

Per Buha

The Lakers are listing LeBron James as out for tomorrow’s game against New York. For what it’s worth, he was listed as out the day before his return against Sacramento.

LEBRON EXPECTED TO RETURN WEDNESDAY

Selfishly I’m really happy about this lol (and it’s banner night and I doubt he would’ve done a B2B)

Per Woj

LeBron James is going to give that right ankle one more day of rest today vs. Knicks -- and target a return on Wednesday vs. Rockets, sources tell @mcten and me.

IN-GAME INJURIES - AC DONE FOR THE NIGHT

For the folks who seemingly are not aware this is the same injury that he has been playing through for the last three or so games.

Per McTen

Alex Caruso's night is done early, out for the rest of the game because of right foot soreness, the team says.

IN GAME INJURIES - AD

Per Trudell

AD said his groin got a little tight, but there was no way he was coming off the floor in a big game.

He’ll get treatment tonight and see how it feels tomorrow. “Very strong possibility that I fight through it and play, but also don’t want to have it (linger)."

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1392348283641634822?s=21

Per Buha

Anthony Davis said he’s not sure if he’s going to play tomorrow against Houston. He wants to play, but he said it’ll depend on how he feels.

LBJ AD CARUSO QUESTIONABLE FOR TONIGHT

Per McTen

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both questionable for tonight’s game vs. the Rockets, per the Lakers’ injury report.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1392532037198696453?s=21

Per Goon

LeBron James is QUESTIONABLE for tonight against the Rockets.

So is Anthony Davis, with what the Lakers are calling left adductor tightness, and so is Alex Caruso, who left yesterday's game early.

Cause AD is now questionable? Not sure LBJ wants to come back and carry all the load right away.

He never actually committed to playing either of these last two home games, there's just been an assumption that he would (I still think he will tonight even if it's very brief).

I WAS INCORRECT - LBJ OUT

Per Woike

LeBron James announces that he won’t play for the Lakers tonight against Houston.

https://twitter.com/danwoikesports/status/1392583771069706241?s=21

Per LeBron

Getting close but I won’t be in the lineup tonight but more importantly I will be there to put that CHAMPIONSHIP banner in the rafters at Staples Center in front of our fans!! #No17 💜💛

I mean on the one hand I get it. But on the other hand if he, Anthony, and Caruso are all out I don’t want to see some wack game for the final home game. I’m a bit disappointed but I have been pretty much all season so there’s that.

Hope the other guys can rise up and it’s still an enjoyable game to watch. You can’t even eat or drink at the seats anymore in Staples so there’s nothing to do but watch basketball so it better be good LOL
