I'm watching Cooper and he looks like a 25 year old NBA point guard with how he is always in control of his defender, a step ahead mentally so the defender never has anything on him..and then that feel/IQ is there with passing too.

Best passing feel in the class.

Ayayi and Reaves are a good haul for us out of this draft.

Wrote about them as late 1st, early 2nd round types.

The gap between Davion Mitchell and Sharife Cooper may permanently break my draft brain.

Teams are really down on him due to his size and the defense that comes with that in addition to not believing that he will be able to improve as a shooter.

The Mitchell hype is weird though.

Sharife Cooper only spent his teenage years refining his ball handling against his teammate, Isaac Okoro, who is a hell of a perimeter defender.

Cooper is a better passer than Cade. He passes lob targets open, even when they're not ready. Shooting can be fixed, and frankly, it's not like 30% shooting from long 2 or 3-point range is that hard.

He's a traffic cone on defense. So is Trae Young.

Schlenk killed it.

We were hearing earlier in the week that the Knicks were super high on McBride, so they weren’t going to pass him up.

Concluding thoughts.

Really disappointing it was the 2nd consecutive year without a draft pick. However I do wonder if they already had Reaves and Ayayi committed as UDFA's and felt there wasn't a need to purchase a pick. Still feels a bit cheap on the Lakers part to me. It was consoling to see the majority of my top picks for the Lakers fell within range of 22.

The Lakers should commit the 15th spot to a developmental rookie and Vrenz who was in my top 11 for the Lakers slot but went undrafted would be my choice. Teams were supposedly willing to draft Vrenz in the 2nd but due to his contract in Europe he cannot sign a 2-way. It must be a standard NBA rookie contract and it appears teams were unwilling to commit to him. Enough with the Dudley type glue guy but useless on the court occupying a bench seat.

Primo was surprising and must have had a strong workout for the Spurs.

I guess the Knicks were conserving cap space but still picked up 4 nice prospects, additional draft capital and swapping 32 for 34+36 was nice.

Pistons could have knocked this draft out but losing Thor hurts and Livers and Garza were meh picks.

Nets could have done better but getting Sharpe was nice.

Grizzlies should be committed to veteran talent that can help them make a Sun's type run in the playoffs instead of drafting more underdeveloped young talent. I guess they can always use them in trades.

Suns get Shamet for 29 seems nice. Why is Shamet moving from team to team?

Kings are still illogical at drafting.

Rockets were solid although they gave up too much for Sengun. He does however fit well next to Woods.

Barnes over Suggs is very questionable. Ujiri may have outsmarted himself on this one.

Mitch did well to draft athletic talented prospects to build around LaMelo.

Mixed feelings on the Clippers but will be interesting to watch how Keon develops.

Is it a reach to say the Lakers with Reaves, Ayayi and Brown may have done as well or better than half the NBA teams?

Not bad for no synergy stats.

Also, no way Scottie Barnes is that athletic.

Jalen Suggs may not have wanted to go to TOR

Hornets got a Malik Monk replacement, injury issues aside

Rockets are draft twitter now

I don't understand the Knicks at 25.

Good to see Primo show the path to his effectiveness, even if he made some crazy shots that I don't think hang next level.

Now knowing who was available at 25 who would you have picked?

Commented the following on Giddey in April.

The passes were as advertised but his body seemed a bit stiff having trouble changing direction as he drove the lane.

I also might have commented on how he hits the floor a lot and with force which I noticed watching his vids.

Sure enough he was injured in his 1st summer league game where he fell basically over his own feet. Not sure if you can improve balance but that's one area he needs to work on otherwise he may become injury plagued.

Legit met all of draft twitter for 3 days straight in Vegas. Missing out on other people coming in over the weekend.

All lines up with core training, which is standard for all NBA rookies.

Same list.

Likely Jaden Springer.

It's crazy seeing how many guys are working in the league, or at least league-adjacent with some kind of player evaluation role.

I hold out hope you will make it. You had a good start this year being more visible in the media at least from my perspective.

I get by with a little help from my friends. They hyped me fast. The plus 2000 followers in a week span was ridiculous. But overall, not bad for basically 1 month of work, when everyone else did 6-9 months.

It helps to have good contacts.
