I initially read this as Belli needing some abs. I was very interested to see where you were going with this.

^^Someone explain that quote, why would Mookie have to play any 2b, not like McKinnley or whoever is lighting the world on fire in right? We have tons of depth at 2b in Trea, Muncy, CT3 and soon Lux. |

My guess would be to keep his bat in the lineup on O but avoid the stress on his body of playing outfield D since he’s been having health issues. |

Yep.

#Dodgers Mookie Betts said Dave Roberts has talked with him about possibly playing 2B after he returns to lessen the amount of running he has to do (like with Bellinger at 1B). Trea Turner's arrival will probably make that less likely

Roberts left White in too long. We were told 40-50 pitches. Gets through 3 scoreless at just under 40 pitches. OK fine, you bring him back out since he's going well and we just had a bullpen game last night, I'm OK with that. Gets 1 of the first 2 hitters out in the 4th. Pitch count now over 50, lefty Calhoun coming up, lefty ready in the pen. Just have to pull him at that point. Gives up the homer and then gets one more out on the righty, and ends up throwing almost 60 pitches. And now Cleavinger is in. Two batters too late. |

I dont blame Doc for Mitch - he was pitching well, and wanted to see how long he could milk it. I can't expect the world from a bullpen game, but I'm pretty f'ing disappointed at how bad our offense looks vs. these sub-par diamondback pitchers. |

Regarding Tatis' latest shoulder injury, Jayce Tingler said that they will wait to see if he responds, but if not after 10 days that season-ending surgery "is on the table." Would be an absolutely brutal blow to the Padres if so. |

^ that’s a huge bummer if he’s out for the season.
Another bummer is that I saw Glasnow will probably be getting TJ surgery. MLB season is starting to look like the NBA season |

Hopefully just a temporary thing so Mookie won't have to chase down fly balls on a perilous hip.
Trae should arrive by next weekend so Mookie will return to RF and all is restored with our huge |

We still don't have our full lineup out there today, rest day for Muncy, Belli and Smith. |

Belli should have more rest days.
Maybe even rest weeks or rest months... |

Quote: | Signing Lockart and Hobbs for $2,500 each is well below the slot values for their respective picks, and some savings with Bruns could prove beneficial for the Dodgers in other deals.
With Lockart and Hobbs, the Dodgers were able to sign them to these deals because both pitchers were college seniors and effectively had no leverage to negotiate.
It is disappointing for the players and it takes place around the league, so until the system is changed, teams will continue to take advantage of college seniors. |
Looks like the dude we really wanted to sign was 3rd rd pick: Peter Heubeck |

This is that 23-0 game I was talking about.
11-0 so far. I think we'll tack on another 12 shortly, increase our run differential some more. |

I think he lost his starting spot to Scherzer. Gonsolin probably lost his too, to Duffy.
1) Buehler
2) Scherzer
3) Urias
4) Kershaw
5) Duffy |

What a disappointment this weekend was that we couldn’t even pick up a single game on the giants with us playing the D’back and them playing the Astros.
That Friday game still pisses me off.
Now watch the Trashtros come and play like world beaters against us next week. |
