The 49ers are bringing in Leonard Floyd to bolster their pass rush. Floyd has played outside LB in the past -- could he also be a temporary replacement for Dre Greenlaw while Greenlaw recovers from his Achilles injury?

Joe Mixon was released, and the Bengals signed Zach Moss to help replace him. (My guess is that Moss and Chase Brown will get most of the work there.) The Ravens, Cowboys, and Texans are 3 high-profile offenses that need a starting RB right now, and all 3 of Derrick Henry, Aaron Jones, and Mixon are out there. The Chargers didn't pay Edwards so much that they couldn't theoretically like one of those 3 either.

Derrick Henry to either Dallas or Houston would seem to make a lot of sense.

Ravens seem to always come up with guys, Keaton Mitchell was absolutely killing it for instance before getting hurt last year and he was undrafted.

Jets get Tyrod Taylor. Much, much better backup QB than they've had. Should give them a fighting chance to win games if Rodgers can't play.

Danielle Hunter to the Texans. They essentially upgraded by letting Greenard go but picking up Hunter to replace him. It's a two-year deal with $48MM guaranteed.

Diontae Johnson traded to the Panthers, for CB Donte Jackson. (Jackson was almost certainly going to be cut by tomorrow if this trade hadn't materialized.) The Steelers get a 6th round pick, while the Panthers get a 7th round pick. So it's pretty clear that the Steelers just wanted to find a taker for Johnson because he was due a $3MM roster bonus on Friday (which Carolina will now pay) and he's in the final year of his deal. His route-running skills also wouldn't seem to be a match for Russell Wilson's off-schedule, deep shot style. I'm guessing the Steelers will take an early-round WR now, and they have had a lot of success with 2nd Round WR's in their history.

Wow, Derrick Henry to the Ravens.

Not sure what to make of that, he seems like a guy that needs tons of carries to get going and I am not sure that is really the Ravens offense.

He wants to win is my guess and got tired of being on a mediocre franchise for his entire career.

The Raiders are releasing Hunter Renfrow, which leaves behind a dead cap hit of about $5.5MM but saves them about $8.2MM off the cap.

Adam Schefter is reporting that today is the day the Chargers make some big cuts.

I would cut 3 of these 4 unless they will restructure their contracts, maybe keep Mack.

Mike Williams released. The Chargers are now cap compliant. So they don't have to make another move today, but I'm fully expecting one of Bosa or Mack to be cut or released to clear a lot more space.

EDIT: Mack is staying and restructured his deal to create a bit more space. We'll see what happens with Bosa, but I'm guessing he doesn't start the season with the team.
