RECKLESS. I've always been someone who favors going for it more than most, but it's truly gone too far, and no one has pushed the envelope further than Staley.
There's no need to bring serious downside into play in a game this important, with as much time as was still left to play. If you want to go for it on 4th and 2 in the 1st half in the opposing team's red zone, as they did, I can get behind that. Defensible decision for sure. From your own 18? It's just reckless. |

| It would be very much Charger football if they manage to score a TD but go for a 2 pt conversion and fail, lose the game and eliminated from the playoffs as a result. |
