Everyone talked about all the shooters we got. Name one reliable shooter on our team.
None, but really even attacking the basket would be nice. I wish Kuz stay the whole 4th to see if he would be the answer instead bot Vogel went to the two dips who crapped the whole game
Multiple Blazers had 5 fouls. Vogel is an idiot if he didn’t notice that. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

We had a max slot worth of cap space to use on shooters and somehow our most reliable three pointer shooter is Anthony Davis. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
We need Bradley. We're not deep enough. KCP needs to retire. (bleep) that guy. We scored only 93 points because KCP scored ONE point and he made it harder for other guys to score.
No honestly we need to let Avery go. He’s not here and he’s not coming.
I hope this jostles Vogel into trying different starting configurations
Not enough time for that. Bradley's been playing with us all year. Chemistry was built. I wouldn't miss Bradley if we were deeper but we have actually no more guards. Our other option is Rondo (God help us). I would rather just play Caruso. His defense isn't that bad. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024
Vogel needs to make the tough decisions. We need a lineup change. Put AD at the 5 and play Kuz in the starting lineup. Force Nurkic out of the paint. Increase Morris minutes and Kuz needs to play closer to 34 minutes. Less KCP, Green and McGee. He got outcoached.
I can't wait until Jeanie sells the Lakers and someone competent runs this team. You know someone who watches modern basketball and none of this 1990 (bleep)
Sloppy game Lakers. REGROUP & comeback next game. With the proper adjustments will still win the series. GO LAKERS!
Hate to be negative but no reason to have hope.
You're kidding right?? smh
OMG SMH LOL NO WAY.
Yeah I'm serious. What's to like? The fact that LeBron is getting swatted constantly around the rim these days? Or that he can't get to the rim without exhausting himself or the clock?
Or should I think that AD is going to start playing like a big man instead of Al Harrington or Rashard Lewis?
Or that Danny Green will actually start hitting his normal averages of 3? How about KCP hitting 3's.
How about someone who can attack the basket and put pressure on the defense? Is that person on the roster?
I guess I should just blindly feel good about a squad who seems to lack that it factor at a time we need it the most.
Lebron had a great game, but the old Lebron would go into game two and punish anybody that was guarding him and score closer to 40 than 20. Will be interesting to see if he still has an extra gear. Yes AD can play better and he might, but at the end of the day people will look to Lebron.
I missed a lot of the bubble games before today, but man, they weren't kidding about this team bricking threes like no one's business. Between that and AD and Lebron bricking 4 free throws in a row at a critical stretch of the game, it just was a tough game to watch. Once Portland started hitting those clutch 3's at the end, you knew the game was over, since the Lakers just weren't capable of matching that offensive output. At least not today.
I don't know how you win a championship shooting like this, but 'it's only Game 1', so I'll remain hopeful for now that they can somehow turn this around.

I mean I feel you but Avery is not on the table. We have no choice but to do something else.

5-32 from 3 and nearly won it.
If we can just get the (bleep) out of our own way we will take the series. If we keep shooting like that? Not beating anyone.
For this reason, I remain optimistic. But we've been kind of saying this all year and the shooting just does not improve. Maybe KCP or Morris can pick it up. We should try running some plays for Kuz and AD to shoot as well. Game plan today seemed very poor from the get go.
The shooting was never like this all year. It has cratered in an insane way. We never bricked open ones to this degree. We either get it back or we go home. Simple as that.
Yes and no. Right now it's very bad. But regular season #'s show we were in the bottom third of the league in 3pt % overall and on wide open/open 3pters. Openwide open
We're just bad at shooting and have been all season. The good thing is we don't need to go 16/32 . . . we probably win if we go 8/32, which is still abysmal, but definitely do-able for this squad.

Are you serious? How can you dribble the ball passed two players? That's what the Blazers were doing. Did you see how wide open KCP and Green were? You can't score 40 points if they keep doubling you. He's got like 15 assists? I don't think Lebron could do any better.
In game 2, they're just gonna keep doubling Lebron and make guys like KCP, Green and Morris beat them. Our perimeter "shooters" had better show up or it's gonna be a quick series. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024

This team is too buddy buddy, after the brick fest all throughout the bubble there was no accountability by anybody. It was always "Well shucks next game luck has to be on our side!" Kobe would be freaking grilling these bums in practice.
