Compensation update: Titans are trading a 2023 sixth-round pick to the Rams for Robert Woods, per source.

I have some good memories of that mall. Would be pretty cool if the Rams set up their facilities there, I'd be able to visit once in a while. But, it's also worth noting, that the valley is pretty much the hottest area in LA County, and Woodland Hills is the hottest part of the valley.

Yeah, it gets very hot. It also gets windy. I hope it's an indoor practice facility.

Trade clears around $6.3M in cap space for the Rams (factoring in Top 51 rule).

Expectation heading into FA was that LA would bring back Odell Beckham Jr. He'd help fill out the Rams' WR room that already includes Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson and Van Jefferson.

All you get for a quality wide receiver like Woods is a 6th round pick?

Sad. Woods was one of my favorite Rams. He did everything on the field you could ask of a receiver and never complained. Glad he leaves with a ring after all the work he put in over the years to get us there.

Best wishes to him with the Titans.

One more on Robert Woods: The Rams worked with him to find the right destination. Titans are a scheme fit—Woods is a great downfield threat off play-action and a strong run blocker—and great intangible fit.

This was a tough 1 for Sean McVay, so Rams wanted to do right by Woods.

Good on the Rams for doing that. I did underestimate what the Rams could get for Woods simply because of the relatively large contract and the fact that everyone knew we had to basically get his salary off our books. Similar to how Dallas only got a 5th Round pick for Cooper, I suppose.

Still on the hunt for another pass rusher and a CB2. Wouldn't be surprised if we have something in the works.

As of now, the Rams have $15.8 million in cap space. That doesn't include Allen Robinson's contract, but his cap hit probably won't be very high, knowing how the Rams have been structuring contracts. https://t.co/OUBduj4HIb

Still nothing going on regarding the defensive side of the ball, besides that we still need a dependable punter after letting Hekker walk for some unknown reasons.

Hekker had become an average punter, at best, who was making a decent salary. (He was 18th in gross punting average in 2020 and 28th last season.) The writing was kind of on the wall last year when Hekker agreed to a pay cut. They'll sign a guy that they think can do an average job for less money, or maybe draft a guy with one of their late picks.

Yeah, Hekker was just average this year. The punter we had in the preseason this year Corey Bojorquez was really good. Too bad we let him get away.

Snead went so far as to say the Rams would like to "shorten" Beckham's free agency; they're in communication with his camp. My read is that he's fairly assessing $ options because I doubt Rams offer can be high in the first year considering circumstances. Could push for multi-yr

Les Snead said the Rams will "take advantage of opportunities that present themselves, not necessarily reach" and stay agile when it comes to addressing roster needs this spring and summer. Although comp pick formula is important, it won't impact adding right player if available.

Quote:
Which means they understand they might need to give up a comp pick in that formula in order to acquire someone, according to Snead.

The #Rams are loading up again? Sources say six-time All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner is visiting them and there is mutual interest in doing a deal. A potential huge defensive addition.

Called this last week after Von bolted. 32 did say that Wagner and Miller play different LB positions but we needed a pass rusher badly regardless of fit.

Wagner is not a pass rusher. And although the Rams don't really prioritize non-pass-rushing LB's (Von Miller is basically an edge rusher), it could be a chance to add a talented player at a position that could use some help, as we don't have much there other than Ernest Jones.

Whitworth, Von Miller, Hekker, Woods gone.

OBJ and Aaron Donald not yet back in the fold.

They did re-up Stafford but I am not sure that would have been my #1 priority.

It is very hard to repeat and Rams seem to have taken a step back from a roster perspective in my mind.
