If Danny Green is traded the same thing that happened to the Spurs and Toronto will happen to the Lakers. They will fall from contention.

The best way to keep the championship string going is to keep DG at least for another year.
Yes, his shot is not what it used to be. But he does many other things that is critical for a chip.

I’m pretty sure it had much more to do with Green’s teammate in San Antonio and Toronto leaving that made them fall out of contention, not Green himself.

Yeah because it was DG and not Klaw teams worried about.

Agreed, but having a strong defender next to your star players helps A LOT. It means the star player can save his defensive energy and impact for important stretches, and can concentrate more on what made them a star, playmaking/scoring/etc.

I imagine OKC cuts him at some point so he can join up with another playoff team. Good luck to DG! But not too much luck if he's on the opposing side during a playoff series.

Thank You Danny Green. We will miss you crashing the boards with our “small” line-ups. We will also miss your effort on defense. You’ll certainly be bought out and go to any team you want. Sorry that the Lakers fans were rough on you.

Thank you for your services Green. Just uhhh....next time don’t brick wide open 3s and let players go by you on defense.

DG is a true professional and a winner.

Still think he was hurt in the bubble. Good luck to him, he will always be regarded as a key contributor to #17. Does all the little things that generally go unnoticed.

Assuming this deal does go through: Big Props to DG for helping our boys win it all. Dude's been a winner everywhere he has went, rings with SA, TOR and now LAL.

Good luck DG.

We will miss him. One of the best, if not the best true 3 and D guy we’ve had in a while. All those years when you invest in guys like Devin Ebanks, Anthony Brown, etc.. you always had hope that they would turn into a.. Danny Green. He’s one of those guys whose impact goes far beyond the stats. Inconsistent shooter for us, but his presence helped spread the floor. His best years may be behind him, but he can still be a contributor.

Do you guys think this trade would happen if he had made that shot? And say just a few more 3's in the playoff? Funny how life turns doesn't it?
