From this point on, any eye injury you get without goggles is silly. Come on man, just bite the bullet. You won't look as sexy but does that really matter? Do goggles really fog up much more now than when Worthy and KAJ were playing?

AD is the Lakers defense period.
without Vando, we have 1 great defender (AD), 1 great defender when he wants to be (LBJ), 1 average defender (rui), and 2 below average defenders.

why Denver and SAC always handle us? it's not because AD can't stop Jokic and Sabonis, it's because AD has to guard them and can't be the help man to take away these layups. once Jokic draws AD out, it is game over. i can't remember how many times Gordon beat our smaller players for offensive rebounds and back door dunks last year (also this year).

Astute observation.
I've tuned out so many other posts pinning the Denver loss on AD and how "Jokic kills him" - utter nonsense, AD holds his own, it's the rest of the team (and the rest of Denver's team) that determined the net outcome.

And guess what: during the 2020 championship run we had guys like KCP, Danny Green and Caruso as our wing defenders. Nuggets had no answer.

Easily the best defensive team I've ever seen as Lakers fan, considering both defensive system and defensive personnel.

We have the (bleep) blueprint. It still makes me mad that we've moved away from it.

Would that 2020 team still beat Denver today?

It comes down to Aaron Gordon. They didn't have him in 2020.

We beat Denver in 5 games in 2020. And even though those games were close, Does Gordon give them 3 more wins?

If Gordon is hitting his 3s. It makes their spacing difficult for those our two-big lineups to defend. But Gordon is a career 32% 3pt shooter.

I give the edge to the 2020 Lakers team over the championship Denver team from last year. But it definitely goes 6-7 games.

I do wonder if KCP guards KCP Or if he guards Jamal Murray and Rondo.

Padded? Get spikes on that helmet. (bleep) these "defenders".

They should be taking prop bets on how many times he's going to get "accidentally" hit in the face on Tuesday. I bet Draymond tries it at least twice.

Long story short, he thinks it makes him look non-aesthetically pleasing. He used to wear goggles as a kid and doesn't think he looks good in them and wants to forget that time of his life.

It's vanity more so than anything else.

Dude chooses to keep his unibrow yet is concerned about looking non-aesthetically pleasing.

This is the problem. No one cared about wearing goggles 10-12 years ago, but now it's seen as some kind of "fashion statement", due to all this hyperfixation on looks and styles on social media. Remember when half the NBA was bald and went with crew cuts in the 90s? Social media is ruining it for these young people.

Looks like Davis caught the same flu Lebron got.
Not much you can do about that. Has to run its course.
My son just had the same thing. Not fun.

We’re gonna miss the playoffs because of the flu lol. Team was right to hold Lebron out, but shouldn’t even have been around the team at all.

Keep sick players away, we can’t be losing bodies right now

The medical staff should mandate that AD has to wear goggles going forward.

The loss vs GS wouldn't have hurt as much if we had beaten Minni like we were going to before he got eye poked AGAIN.

Yeah that's why I always say with his protruding eye shape he should just really be wearing goggles. Like on the real. In my humble opinion lol.

Saw some people blaming Ham in the game thread.
We were up 21 with 5:22 left.
Davis was in foul trouble earlier to. Wasn't like he played a bunch of minutes today.

The man has a fragile body. What can ya do?!

Dominant game. We just need a repeat performance every single night from here on out lol. I think he played Valanciunas really well, offensively and defensively. Played him right off the court
