With Magic calling for it, and now Fizdale coming in who helped Miami add a lot of speed on D and spacing on O, wonder if we can work with AD on a program this offseason where he is a little physically stronger and can play 5 mostly. If we go with AD as our 5, it changes everything we can do as a team.
We won title one way, but to win a second one, we may need to make an adjustment for older Bron, who needs even more spacing to get the driving lanes and post up opportunities to use his all time great playmaking. Not to mention the defense.
Everyone would benefit.
Specially Dennis, THT and Bron who love to attack the rim with space

I don't think AD can survive the physicality of playing 5 full time for an entire regular season and then the playoffs.
It's a weird situation. Any center we sign/trade for will have to understand that they will play in the regular season and likely sit or have their minutes drastically reduced in the playoffs.
Ideally, we could find a center who can shoot the 3, but those are rare and pricier than the MMLE. I mean, Brook would have been great but the same Magic didn't like him.
AD has always been a part-time 5. We only close with him at the 5 and that's how it's gonna be. We won a championship doing that. Get a decent center (Howard?) to start with Gasol as backup and we're set for #18. Don't need much changes other than getting rid of me first cancer Ds. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!

We all know what AD's injury history is yet some fans are hell bent on him playing the 5 fulltime.
Why would the Lakers want to put him at even further risk by having to bang at the 5 for the reg. season?
It makes no sense.
The Lakers gave away all their young talent and gave AD a max contract.
I think they've made a tremendous investment in Anthony Davis & playing him fulltime at the 5 would be a horrible idea.
Beg Dwight and JaVale to come back to save unnecessary wear and tear during the regular season so he's fresh and hopefully healthy come the playoffs. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

Just play AD during the last two months of the regular season. Look at what kind of monster KD turned into in the playoffs with that kind of load management. We know we could win enough games to make the playoffs with just Lebron so we should maximize load management with AD. One good side effect of load management is that it also lessens chances of an injury which is quite significant for someone like AD. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!
KD had Irving/Harden to help carry the load a bit.
Can't have LBJ carrying the team for the last two months of the RS.
The put a player in bubble wrap strategy doesn’t work imo. Availability is part of the game.
It doesn’t matter how much time off Kawhi takes, he still gets banged up. Same with Kyrie, same with KD.
You can’t take 3 months off and expect to be able to hang with the intensity and physical stress of games. It will catch up.
The bubble was different because everyone had 4 months off and starting from the same situation. That’s completely different than load managing, being a part-time player and hoping you avoid injury.
Kareem does not BS. Honestly, I have never seen a talent like AD, ever. He is ridiculous. When on, there is not a single thing he can not do for you on the floor. In his best playoff games, the guy was defending every spot on the floor, while anchoring at times. Rebounds. Even brings the ball up sometimes. On offense, shoots 3s, drives. Post ups. Isolations. Rolling after setting picks.
He is the most talented, but he was far from his best this past year. I hope he is focusing on rest, recovery and then a lot of strength training this offseason, to be in his great shape for 21-22. A healthy AD = us the best team in the West. The Suns and Bucks can not beat a healthy led AD Lakers. So long as Bron is able to do what he does at even at a 80% rate, if we get these guys some good floor spacers, a healthy AD-Bron combo will eat the West IMO.

Even LeBron, Durant, and Giannis? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

His defense is amazing, hopefully he can get that shot going like he did in the bubble, but that could be a once in a lifetime stretch regarding his outside shooting.
Davis is a superstar. I feel he needs to find his bread and butter. In the title run he had everything working for him, but sometimes I think he relies on that jumper to much. I remember that game he had like 28 free throws hos first season as a laker. He needs some more easy buckets.
Don’t get me wrong I know he’s a capable shooter and very versatile, but I think if he played the 5 (on the offensive end) the game would come natural.
