This! He needs to abuse him (and this will be the 2nd game of a back to back). Huge game in the standings. |

What a stat line, he was beasting!!! Our offense was AD offensive rebounds for about 15 mins in the 2nd half. His activity is a sight to behold when he is on! Great game, now time to get one at Sac! _________________ Magic*Kobe*LBJ*AD*Cap |

No reason he can't beast on the boards against the Kings also..they don't have anyone that can compete with AD's size..Sabonis is smaller than Reid |

Sabonis knows all the dirty tricks to get position though. Plus he sets screens up top which forces AD to come help and then Sabonis rim runs to get good position. He is really tough to keep off the boards on either end, height isn't really relevant here |

I expect AD to have a better game.
The question is, Can our guards contain Fox and Monk this time around? |

It's not fair. Since he's single-handedly holding our defense together.
But we need more from him.
The teams that have playmaking bigs vs the teams who don't. It's a night and day difference. And guys like Jokic and Sabonis are playmaking bigs. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Defensively I’ll blame our stupid gameplan but he needs to affect the game more offensively |

AD is soft, but that's nothing new.
He doesn't do well with centers that are physical or/and that are fundamentally skilled.
AD is a bonafide #2, it is just irritating watching.

Yep hit the needle on the head there. That is exactly what Sabonis did to AD. |

He just can’t handle the two best centers in the conference. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

He neither can handle zubac and nurkic. Last game nurkic had 20/20 on him
He is soft. He should play flag football version of basketball |

2020 he was a PF who roams around on defense who didn't take that much beating. |

I didn't know Sabonis is 10-0 in his matchups against AD. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

AD told those dense mofos he preferred to play PF as he felt most comfortable contributing there. The Lakers got to the elimination game of the Finals with AD at PF, sure the last game to win the Ship he was moved to C but the bulk of the damage for the season, and the playoffs, was done at PF.
With a bulky back up C, athleticism in the back court, - GM’s job, and going with what rotations that worked after trade deadline last year, having the team prepared, use of time outs for effective in game adjustments - coach’s job, the Lakers could win. However, with poor game strategy and poor roster construction, the Coach and GM together present too big a problem collectively to compete legitimately and will result in another wasted season.
I quit supporting the Laker games in Dec after the Spurs loss when it looked to me that I wanted them to win more than they do. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see the Lakers being successful in the post season until one or both of Rob/Ham are replaced with someone that does a better job. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. Everyone knows he’s a finesse big. But people keep forcing him to be some big body bruising big.
Another player being mishandled nit being properly used. |

Kareem weighed 225.
AD weighs 253
Kareem held his own with or outplayed Wilt, Bob Lanier, Wes Unseld, Moses Malone, Nate Thurmond, Artis Gilmore, Bill Walton, Walt Bellamy, Robert Parish.
Pretty much any Hall of Fame center including those who outweighed him.
Maybe Moses gave him the worst time, but there was no zero and 10 record against Moses. Kareem beat him head to head.
Kareem destroyed Mark Eaton who was larger than him and one of those big bulky types.
So I really don't want to hear this finesse argument.
AD should take up martial arts and stop whining about that. |
