IMO Vogel is the weak link. He has the personnel. I don't think he'll utilize it correctly. I've never liked his lineups or rotations.

Call me a pessimist, I expect trouble between Frank and Bron. This is it. Pelinka built a 1 year, do or die, championship or bust roster. It's full of vets who've been there done that. I don't think Frank has the wherewithal to handle this crew.

Replace Kobe with LeBron, Mike Davis with Frank Vogel

It'll be kinda interesting because the Lakers just gave him an extension. If they got rid of Frank, who would they replace him with?

I don’t know who is out there that would do better. They had their chances with Lue but went cheap. I wouldn’t support firing Vogel during the season.

Starts at the top and his "We don't need an offensive assistant" mentality is coming back to bite like we knew it would.

If the Lakers start this season 0-5 or 1-6 should he be fired?

To upgrade Fizdale? No thanks.

MDA is a consultant for NO. Go offer him big money and a role.

But out offense literally sucks. As great as Frank is on the defensive end, he's equally bad on O.

Vogel already looks like he’s on the hot seat. Feels like it’s gonna be a repeat of Mike Brown’s firing after his winless preseason and 0-4 start in 2012.

- Offense is a complete disaster. There’s no scheme and players are lost.
- Defense is falling apart.
- Already the team is fueling with each other. Vogel is losing the locker room.

We need an offensive minded coach and we need one BAD.

No coach has been able to solve the Westbrook conundrum, not even Mike D'antoni. Couple that with half the team being (bleep) defensively, whats he supposed to do?

Pelinka set up Vogel for failure this season.

Again, Vogel was the one who decided we didn't need an offensive assistant. This STARTS with him.

What offensive assistant can make Westbrook play efficient winning basketball with other stars? There is no person on earth that can do that, its fools gold.

So he can claim Bron’s Achilles too???

Seriously tho our offense is ass and that is 100% on the coaches to integrate Russ more effectively. Giving them ~10 more games to figure it out till I start asking for a resignation.

Meanwhile our defense has been ass as well and I rather they find a new HC to demote Vogs to focus solely on defense as a DC.

I blame Rob/Kurt for f’ing up our coaching hire. At one point it seemed like it was either going to be Monty or Lue at HC with Thibs or Vogs at DC…and as usual they couldn’t close on our primary target.

Vogel has had an entire off-season and pre-season and practice to integrate Russ into the offense. Took till we lost Game 1 where Vogel was like "Well maybe we need to integrate him more". All that time Vogel wastes "figuring things out" only to never really been figuring out anything. He's like a kid that acts like he didn't know the homework assignment was due while telling all his friends he's been working on it.

Except he’s a championship coach.

I dunno MJST. To me he was given an impossible task to solve. Lebron is out on the floor with him, planned how they were going to work in the offseason, had private minicamps to train together, and he still cant even figure out how to play with him. Then again no player or coach has.

When a team doesn’t win, you fire the coach. That’s just a fact of life. Vogel better start coaching his ass off.

It won’t be any chants. He will be gone like Del Harris and Mike Brown before him

Terrible offensive coach, to me he isn't a good head coach. He would have been better as Ty Lue's lead defensive assistant coach.

Possibly Mike Dantoni or any good offensive coach. He just needs to be put in the right position and not free for all.

And what is his excuse for the terrible defensive preparation this season?

Maybe Frank is one of those guys who wins one title and starts resting on his laurels.

I know Rob is a defensive first coach, but there hasn’t been an offensive identity to this team since he came.
