iirc That narrative was somewhat related around Giannis becoming a FA, and how Giannis liked Kidd as a coach back when he coached the Bucks. Folks connected the Lakers signing one of his brothers (Kostas) and Kidd to meaning there would be an eventual transition, if needed, for Kidd to become HC to lure Giannis.
No clue if true, but those were the bread crumbs that were baked into a fun little cake of a story. |
No different than the Lakers signing Mo Evans, KG's best friend, and Shammond Williams, KG's cousin, to lure KG. It might have worked if they signed Flip Saunders (rest in peace) instead of Phil Jackson to be the head coach. |

Coach K is retiring from coaching Duke basketball.
Do you think he would want to coach our superteam? He coached Russell, Lebron, Carmelo and Anthony in the Olympics. |

Monk was giving us 20ppg on great efficiency and he benches him.... bradley or westbrook should of been benched not monk. |

Vogel isn’t giving the starters a chance to compete with that horrid lineup. Isn’t it obvious Ariza is useless? |

Not digging these Melo or Lebron at center lineups tbh. I'm just not invested in the current team enough to care.
Even depleted Heat are playing 32 year old Dewayne Deadman at center. |

Coach K is 74 years old and he was making $10 million a year at Duke. If he wanted to keep coaching, he would have stayed there. |

Vogel is just shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic. No matter what combination he tries, it doesn't work. I don't really blame him for that. I don't think if we replaced him some other coach is going to do more with this roster. |

Monk put together a nice little run, but to be fair that was when we were playing some of the worse teams (and worse defensive teams) in the league. And it's not like the Lakers were doing better with him starting.
I don't think Monk starting or coming off the bench moves the needles in terms of winning and losing. But I am not sure right now there is anything that will move the needle. |

Say what you want about personnel, injuries, etc. The bottom line is Vogel is not getting through to this team. |

Monk has the best +\- on the team, eFG 59%. Stretches the floor with 40% 3pt shooting on 5 attempts. You sound like Vogel. |

stephen A questioned Brons leadership. Where has it been besides looking at stat sheets during games? serious question _________________ Kobe.

The good news for you is Vogel will probably be fired soon. The bad news is I don't think it will make a difference in wins and losses |

He should be fired just for the reason of starting Avery and ariza and then giving up 80 points at the half |

Maybe they fire him right when AD comes back so Rambis can come in and say he has a great record…god willing we win more with AD. |

I have no idea what Vogel is seeing that lets Ariza make a crap ton of mistakes and stay on the floor while Reaves is benched basically immediately after a single TO. |

The lineup choices and rotations are a joke…Vogel needs to wake up….it shouldn’t be that hard….it should have happened a while ago but the lakers need to move on from Vogel he isn’t getting it done and the way he chooses to manage the personnel is killing this team |

Neither did Fizdale when he had the helm.
This isn't coaching as much as terrible roster construction. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |
