I think you need to ask yourself what moves hasn’t he made?
Created space for a max player to join Bron. Has he locked up a max guy yet?
Created a coaching vacancy to fill. Did he lock up our 1st choice, 2nd choice for that spot?
Couldn’t find personnel to shield Bron from playing the full time lead guard role at 35+ years old.
Bruh?! Rob’s been borderline trash so far. How does anybody see it different haha. Ask yourself, how did we get here in the first place where we have to jump through hoops to make sure we don’t run it back with just Bron being our primary playmaker again.
Rob has not been good thus far and still has a lot to prove in my book. I know I say this a lot, but He's the only GM to break up a championship squad after their 1st championship. Though I moved on from it, it is still one of the most baffling to me. He has done other moves prior that are questionable as well. Right now, I have no faith in him. Probably more so because he didn't have a mentor. He was kind of just thrown in the spot of making decisions. I believe as an agent, he wasn't liked by GM's, so that is against him, when he is negotiating. He probably fairs best when getting free agents. But I think he would have greatly benefitted from someone to teach him the ropes; like bringing in a Jerry West, rather than rejecting him or someone that is savvy in that area.

It kinda feels like we may overpay for Hield and give up the 22nd pick. At the same time he could be a perfect fit here. He could get to the next level next to Lebron/AD if he can be a star in his role and not try to force it. From what I follow with the Kings he does seem immature. Kuzma did manage to put his ego aside and accepted his role and played hard.
The Kings seem like a horrible place for young players. Not saying the Lakers is a great place for young guys, but at least we know Lebron won't put up with certain things.

Oddly enough, I think it makes sense as well. His price tag is somewhat stomach churning. At least with him, he brings a serious outside shooting threat.
My view depends on who is being sent out. I'm actually not fond of parting with KCP in a deal for Hield. Kuz? Ok, fine. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. He truly has no idea that he’s not as good as he thinks." - Killer_Z
Doubt that it would end up being a 3 for 1. We'll get #39 at the very least.
My hope is KCP + Kuz + Trez for Hield + Delon Wright
39?
Try 9th. Then I would be happy.
lol word. When Kings fans and Kings media are happy and begging for this trade then you know we’re getting fleeced[/quote
Lol word. Who really cares what fans (especially Kings fans) think? How many championships have the kings won? I’ll take Rob over any internet turd GM any day.
The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have an advantage in free agency as they are drawing interest from ‘a ton of’ veteran players that are willing to take a pay cut in order to team up with LeBron James and chase a championship. “There’s a lot of speculation right now that seems founded that the Lakers have a ton of veteran-type players ready and interested to come sign on minimum deals and go chase this ring with LeBron,” Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report said on Lakers Central Podcast.
People getting worked up over speculation is kind of crazy lol
I think Rob has done a great job...1 chip obviously....even this year over the summer he was being lauded by pretty much everyone for bringing top two 6th men of the year....in retrospect I think we can see that chemistry was an issue....but even then, I mean let's be real if AD and LBJ were at full health like the previous year does anyone seriously question as to whether we would have been in the finals?????
Injuries happen and we, along with a bunch of other teams got hit, particularly hard as it was our two main players along with a lot of role players....happened to BKN as well...a big difference for us was the very short off-season which was an unknown at the end of last season
I think Rob has done more than enough for people not to hyperventilate and should have some patience to see how things shake out versus going bonkers about every rumor that comes out
I'm about 48 hours too late, but on Zach Lowe's podcast he mentioned the Grizzlies are receiving the Lakers 2022 1st (top-10 protected, otherwise NOP) in the Adams trade. _________________ Under New Management

Yea. Rob doesn't get enough credit for tampering. Very un-Mitch-like.
GMs always get over criticized or over praised cuz fans are emotional morons. Hopefully we get rings with whoever is at the helm, in this case Rob. I'm just glad LeBron and AD extended their contracts and give us a chance to win.
Re: the vets. I wouldn't be shocked if Melo is on that list haha. Maybe even a couple of his former clients: Ariza and Iggy. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!!
Kevin O'Connor probably enjoying this right now. "Wow, I took my little Intel about the Lakers and wrote about the potential deal and I doubled the clicks to my website. Let me retweet the link again."
He may be able to analyze players, but hopefully he's a bit less skilled in how that translates to making deals. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!!
Personally I'd love to have melo off the bench, I think in Portalnd he's shown he can contribute in a very meanignful way in that role
I believe Rob knows he already has Melo in the bag. I am not hating on Kuz, but I think Rob feels like Melo is at least a push (maybe even an upgrade) compared to Kuz on the offensive side of the ball. With Melo in tow, Kuz becomes expendable (it always sucks to get rid of a young guy on a good contract).
Lol. Everyone all stressed over a rumor.
Even if true that it’s Kuzma/trez/pick
Your giving up disappointing Kuz, a guy that can literally just opt out and can’t be played in playoffs, and a pick that may or may not pan out, for a starting two guard that shoots 10 threes a game at a high clip and fits perfectly with our two superstars.
There was a report yesterday I think from Sam Amick that the Sixers were also interested in Hield. Maybe the Lakers had to include the #22 to secure the deal. We will find out soon... _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

All depends on who those “ veteran-type players” actually are.
Can’t wait to see if the quality and durability of players actually accepting those vet min contracts. Can they still contribute and compete or a long list of “five years too late” types?
Certainly will be an interesting study on NBA longevity. Just how many old guys can sustain a high level of fitness over a long season and then a playoff run.
My guess is the “if only we were healthy for the playoffs, we would have won it all” becomes the new Laker mantra for the next few years. Maybe put it on a t-shirt.
