We may need veterans, but we also can't win the championship with old guys. We need a mix of veterans and younger players in their mid-to-late 20s.
The more mileage you have the more likely it is you'll get injured. Getting some guys who are 32 or 33 is fine, but 35 or older is a major risk. With our style of play, we need enough young legs, speed and athleticism. |

Yeah, especially because Hield is overpaid and Kuz and Trez are both on good contracts. The counter is that Hield is elite at the most premium skill in the league.
I don’t recall seeing it posted here, but Hield is a former Pelinka client and was a favorite of Kobe’s, who even thought LA should consider him with the #2 pick (they drafted Ingram).

Even if we get Buddy we still need a playmaking guard. That was supposed to be the #1 priority.

Both players they are giving us back are already superior players to Trez and Kuzma so highly unlikely they are giving us both for Kuz/Trez and 22nd. |
