|

Considering we can likely only afford one -
Leonard - Coming off an injury, not the greatest scorer but definitely a ferocious dunker and still has a pretty jumper, but proven defender and world champion, finals MVP
Klay - Proven scorer, proven 3 point machine, hits the big shot, and by signing Klay we make the Warriors weaker.
I’d personally love either, but I prefer Klay. With LeBron, they’d be like peanut and jelly. The perfect Robin to his Batman. Plus the idea of making the Warriors weaker is always a big factor.
Honorary mention - Jimmy Butler - Also a great scorer and would fit right in with LeBron. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |

Tough call. In short term Klay would be better fit with LeBron. But we can build the team around KL after LeBron hangs it up. |

As Lebron ages he needs to play next to a sidekick/2nd superstar who can create his own shot one on one. That would be KL more than Klay. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

I ask because I keep hearing all the fans discussing Leonard as the guy everyone wants but I don’t often hear anyone mention Klay...
I think the assumption is that he would prefer to stay in GS, but coming to the Lakers isn’t far fetched. He won’t be far from home in LA, and the thought of playing with LeBron and trying to win a championship here will only add to his stock an legacy. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.

If healthy, Kawhi runs circles around Klay. |

Klay daddy said he’s not coming
But if Klay wants to see how dominant he is (eg avg 30 pts) he should look at the Lakers |

Leonard is way better player. If he's healthy 100% Kawhi, not even close |

And he's not coming. It's useless to build a pie around a guy that wants to stay in GS.... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

What about the idea of making the Warriors weaker while making us stronger? Unless Klay does sign with us and GS finds a way to nab Leonard, which I don’t see happening. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |

Fair enough, I wanted to see how Laker Nation felt about the idea of nabbing Klay (if he were available and actively looking at other teams) over Leonard. Looks like so far, consensus is clearly Leonard _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.

Klay for sure. But we need to still aggressively pursue trade for Leonard. |

Leonard is better then Klay Thompson if healthy. The answer should be obvious. Anyone who picks Klay is looking at fit, but Kawhi is an absolute superstar. Klay is an all star fringe superstar to me. |

I’m with you, I would love KL and we definitely should acquire him via trade, but I’ve watched enough LeBron to know that he and Klay would flourish together. Assuming we can’t get KL, Thompson is literally the perfect sidekick for him. I understand the idea of building towards the future and KL being that piece, but Klay is no slouch and given the opportunity I believe he could shine just as well. Plus, and I keep reiterating this, but we make the Warriors weaker in the process. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.

It’s Kawhi and no contest. A healthy Kawhi is a top 5 player in the NBA that can guard any player in the league while dropping 25+ on you. |
Leonard is in that top 3 tier imo. If he is healthy. That is the only question. My prediction is if he played last year, he would of been the clear cut 2nd best player in the NBA. |
