Jah wants out of Philly in the worst way, so much so he asked to be released from his contract so he can become a FA. I doubt Colangelo does this and that he would want something in return...
Is this an opportunity for the Lakers to make good on a bad decision from the 2015 NBA Draft when Jim and Mitch chose Russell over Okafor who wished and dreamed to be drafted by the Lakers?

Should we look to trade away one of our young guys to bring in Jah as a potential center for the future? If so who goes?

Should we wait to see if he gets bought out and then grab him off the waiver wire?

Is he worth it, could he fit in here with Luke's system and what the Lakers are looking to do as an organization?

Are you kidding? At least we got Brook, a 1st rounder, and shed Moz's terrible deal.

Okafor couldn't fetch a 2nd rounder. We made no mistake passing on him.

Have you seen him play defense? Yeah, no one else has either.

The Sixers have been trying to trade Okafor for more than two seasons. Some squads have even asked for an additional player or a draft pick to take Okafor off the Sixers’ hands. According to a league source, the Toronto Raptors considered trading for Okafor this summer. However, they also wanted Robert Covington included in the deal. The Sixers declined. – via pressofAtlanticCity.com

We need a center who plays great defense, grabs tons of rebounds, throws outlet passes and doesn't get into fights with random hoodrats at the club.

Hell no.

Lakers couldn't have offered someone better than Booker to get Okafor, Stauskas and a 2nd?
