If we can keep KCP and/or Randle, all the better, but here is a realistic depth chart for 2018 if we can't keep them but everything else falls into place, i.e., PG & LeBron come in free agency, and BLo signs for the room exception with the hope of getting a big contract the following year:
PG: Lonzo, Ennis
SG: Paul George, Hart
SF: Ingram, Kuzma
PF: LeBron, Nance
C: Brook Lopez, Zubac
Question: If this comes to fruition, can this team compete with the Warriors?
For comparison, here is the Warriors current depth chart:
PG: Curry, Livingston
SG: Thompson, Young
SF: Durant, Iguodala
PF: Draymond, West
C: Zaza, McGee
In my opinion...
Lonzo<<Curry
PG=Klay
Ingram<<Durant
Lebron>>Draymond
Lopez>>Zaza
It looks pretty even to me. If Durant or Curry has so much as an ankle sprain, I think we could beat them.
Thoughts? |

I agree based on the current skill level of our players, but assuming you see the expected growth of Lonzo and BI's talent then perhaps the Lakers can take the series. _________________ Back to Back Yeah, Yeah...and you know that!

In 2021 I might agree. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Thoughts? | Your lineup isn't likely. Lakers have to waive bird rights to Lopez to sign 2 max free agents (Lebron and George). Unless Lopez will resign with significant discount (like $8 million), he won't be a Laker next season. |

I like your line of thinking and hope it comes true....!
And I think it could be a team that could compete with the Warriors for about 2 seasons, by then Lebron and Lopez will be old, injured or retired... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |
