I have nothing against LeBron owning an NBA team, but I don't think any new teams should be added. It would dilute the talent around the league, which would lead to a drop in the quality of play.
It has taken so many years for the quality of play to return to a really high level. The last thing we need is to interfere with that.
Just move an existing team to Vegas and Seattle.
Quality-wise I agree, but the league is angling for more games to meet up with ever-increasing demand, and one way to overcome the games bottleneck is to increase "supply" i.e. teams.

Really the league should contract and have fewer playoff spots and fewer games. Something like 24 teams and four playoff spots per conference (the three division winners plus a wildcard determined by the fourth and fifth seed playing a sudden death game) would be more exciting than what we have now.
But it will never happen. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Considering that the goal of the NBA is to make money, reducing revenue won’t happen. Teams splitting $4-5 billion in new franchise fees probably will happen. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
I don't think Bron wants to ring chase on the warriors. I personally think he's playing the long game to gain the trust of Jeanie. Work his way into the buss family and eventually buy a sizeable stake in the Lakers after retirement (also with the Lakers).
He's gonna be "LA Bron" from here on out IMHO. he's got over a Billion dollars in net worth. Being part owner of the greatest NBA franchise in history ain't a bad place to park your cash. Better than Cleveland. Lol!

I have no reason to think the Buss family is going to sell their ownership of the Lakers anytime soon. If Lebron ever becomes an NBA owner, it will probably be from having a small stake in a management group that buys the rights to an expansion team. Given that NBA expansion fees will probably be $2.5 billion or more, I doubt Lebron is going to more than a 10-15% owner.
The most predictable outcome. LeBron gets his money, a player option, and the Lakers get at least LFT. Now it's up to Pelinka to make a contender out of the situation. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.
