Two Hellfire missiles strike his safe house while he alone, outside on a balcony and the ere are no other casualties and the building was not substantially damaged? If that's actually true, that's a hell of a drone strike.

It's interesting how conservatives have always portrayed themselves as the ones who will keep us safe from terrorists while accusing our side of cozying up with terrorists and wanting them to win.

Yet, Obama killed Bin Laden and now Biden has killed this guy.

It is time to reevaluate the conventional wisdom about the midterms after this vote in Kansas. People are mad as hell at having their rights taken away.

This has been my biggest problem with the media bro conventional wisdom. It has never taken into account just how enraged women are … and I’m seeing this across the spectrum of women I know … about Alito and friends stripping away women’s bodily autonomy like it was nothing.

My gut feeling from the beginning was that women are enraged by this and it will be reflected at the polls. This is not one of those issues that gets "forgotten" because it continues to negatively impact women every single day and it's getting progressively worse when male politicians in red states write even more heinous laws. And yes, even moderate Republican women (who aren't fake Christian zealots) don't want their autonomy or their daughters' autonomy taken away by the government.

I don't have the specific demographics but here's some related info:

Quote:
Shannon Watts @shannonrwatts

SEVENTY PERCENT of Kansans who registered to vote after the Dobbs decision was handed down on June 24th are women.

Nothing more terrifying than an army of angry women. Text ELECTIONS to 644-33.

Quote:
Tom Bonier @tbonier

Among Kansans who registered to vote on or after June 24th (when the Dobbs decision was announced), Democrats have an 8 pt advantage. Compare that to the GOP's overall advantage of 19 pts among all registered voters in Kansas. The landscape changed on June 24th
.

Hint: people, mostly women, who had never voted before and were not previously affiliated with either the Democratic or Republican party were motivated to register to vote for the first time because of gutting of Roe v Wade; and they showed up at a SUMMER OFF SEASON ELECTION that was mostly a Republican primary and they voted to preserve abortion, and chose to identify themselves as new Democrats. IN A RED STATE.

Text messages received and sent by top Pentagon officials who were part of the Trump administration on Jan. 6, 2021, have been wiped from their government-issued phones, according to a court filing that cites statements by the Defense Department and Army.

I think we both know the answer there. Most guys in red states aren't capable of that much forethought.

I've seen it mentioned a couple of places that one offshoot of the good news from Kansas is that it is a warning to the Right that abortion rights aren't "safe" in the hands of any state. The idea that women could be empowered and angered, even in a red state, to vote to preserve their own autonomy will be perceived as a direct threat to alleged "Pro-Life" zealotry. Thus, there will be great efforts made to make abortion illegal on a federal level. Thus is it imperative to thwart any momentum being gained on that front by having midterms that tie the hands of the religious right to exert their will and prevent them from taking control of our legislative bodies.

REP. JACKIE WALORSKI (R-IN)
KILLED IN CAR CRASH

Rep. Jackie Walorski was killed in a car crash in her home state that claimed the lives of 3 others ... according to police.

The fatal, two-car wreck happened Wednesday afternoon near an intersection in Nappanee, Indiana, and it killed all 3 people riding in the Republican Congresswoman's SUV.

Republicans in Congress, including McConnell and McCarthy, have already been crowing that one of the things they intend to do "when" they win back the Senate and House is to outlaw abortion completely. Democrats should be shouting that from the rooftops and playing the tapes back in commercials.

So in the Alex Jones trial his lawyer went full rogue and somehow for what reason.. had a full copy of Mr Jones' cellphone which I guess not much was ever deleted from.. He sent it to the plaintiffs lawyers.. and let enough time pass that now they are allowed to use it in the trial.

My question is - If there is evidence of any crimes unrelated to Sandy Hook - say 1/6... can the Government just have a copy of his phone now since it was introduced as legal evidence in the sandy hook trial? TIA

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/trump-pushed-cia-find-kill-osama-bin-laden-s-son-n1135101

WASHINGTON — When intelligence officials briefed President Donald Trump on the most worrisome terrorist threats during the first two years of his tenure, they regularly mentioned the names of the senior terrorist figures the CIA was working hardest to find and kill, including the leader of al Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahri.

Trump would ultimately greenlight successful strikes on ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Yemeni al Qaeda chief Qasim al-Rimi — perhaps the most significant names on the CIA list of potential U.S. targets.

But he was more interested in a young and less influential figure much farther down the list, according to two people familiar with the briefings, because he recognized the name.

Trump and Republicans send high fives to Dictators/Fascists/Terrorists et al. They are on the same team.

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi blew himself up w/ a vest after he was cornered. By definition a boots-on-ground strike that lead to his death. They kinda mix that one into drone strike cases. Zarqawi was a plane strike w/ laser guided bombs.

And don't forget that Dubyuh actually said after the initial flub of killing Usama in Tora Bora in 11/01, "Ya know, I really don't care where he (bin Laden) is..." Imagine for a second Barack saying such a thing... Torches and pitchforks. And judging by the inaction on finding Usama's whereabouts by 2009, it was apparent that Dubyuh wasn't lying. All that initial, "Smoke em out of his cave" talk was impotent as Michael Moore pointed out in F 9/11. Obama had to redouble the efforts first thing after his inauguration. The fact that some BS snit between Cheney and Rumsfeld re: what the early invasion of Afghanistan should've looked like allowed bin Laden to escape, adding another 10 years to the back end of his life, is bad enough as it is. Imagine that foible happening in the Obama/Biden Admin.

Not that he wouldn't have wanted to be the one who got UBL on GPs, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he knew before entering office that if he didn't try harder than Bush did to find and kill Usama, eventually he would be called soft on the case. Likelier Fox Nooz would've added terms like "aiding and abetting" to the claim. He must've known it if for nothing else but being called a Muslim by that lot over and over again. And then Usama put out a statement calling Obama a brother and all that. I'm sure Obama didn't find that very cute. It was obvious what bin Laden was trying to convey and Barack already had domestic terrorists (Congressional Rs) conveying that.

I was perusing a list of drone strikes since the first one in 2004 and the ones from 2006-2008 (Dubyuh) often included anywhere from 10-30 other casualties. Some were strikes on supposed meetings, but others were strikes that took out kids and so many adults that it gives you pause as to how many of them were al Qaeda'd up. The slap-chop non-explosive missiles didn't exist and that was a lot closer to 9/11/01 where the public at large gave less of a sh about anyone killed in a -stan country by a US drone, but the selection of targets themselves has seemingly gotten a little better in recent years. And in that latest screwup within the last year or so where they bombed an SUV pulling into the driveway of a home, I think the US govt issued an apology. Back in Bush's era, that wasn't a thing. They didn't even want to acknowledge them unless the media forced them to with sufficient coverage.

Obama also had Anwar al-Awlaki zapped on 9/30/11 in Yemen. He was the American citizen "radicalizer"/fomenter who spoke English. He inspired Nadal Hasan, the Ft. Hood traitor/shooter who killed 13 military members in 2009. I remember some scuttlebutt about the ethics of killing Awlaki, but pfft. Cmon. That's one where you do it and ask questions later. And they didn't have to stretch the credulity of him being a threat to American citizens precisely because he did incite Hasan. Obama passing up that chance would've gotten him endless grief by the Rs if they ever learned about it. As it was, he did have him killed and simply got zero credit from them.
