Greene should be expelled. There are imho skeletons in the gop that if pulled out could either get rid of some people or do as the gop would do. Blackmail them

It was thrown out there with McConnells wife. Come out against trump or your wife gets exposed. Unfortunately his voice isn’t what it was.

MTG Fraud?

Quote:
ATLANTA — A Channel 2 Action News investigation has found that Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her husband have two active homestead exemptions, which is against Georgia law.

A homestead exemption is a big tax break any Georgia homeowner is entitled to for their primary residence. It is against the law to file for more than one.

But Channel 2 investigative reporter Justin Gray pulled records showing that the Greenes are getting the tax break on two different homes in two different counties.

In a statement, Greene’s office told Gray to mind his own business and called it a “pathetic smear” when he asked them about the homestead exemptions.

Does everyone in Trump's orbit break the law? Never mind, I know the answer.

Neera Tanden, the new administration's only Cabinet nominee rebuffed by the Senate, has become a senior adviser to President Joe Biden, a White House official told CNN.

A longtime health policy expert, Tanden will begin planning for potential policy changes that could result from the forthcoming US Supreme Court decision on Republican legal efforts to strike down the Affordable Care Act. She worked in former President Barack Obama's administration as the act was designed and implemented.
Her new role does not require Senate confirmation.

Quote:
When Rep. Matt Gaetz attended a 2019 GOP fundraiser in Orlando, his date that night was someone he knew well: a paid escort and amateur Instagram model who led a cocaine-fueled party after the event, according to two witnesses.

The Florida congressman’s one-time wingman, Joel Greenberg, will identify that escort to investigators as one of more than 15 young women Gaetz paid for sex, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

But what distinguishes this woman, Megan Zalonka, is that she turned her relationship with Greenberg into a taxpayer-funded no-show job that earned her an estimated $7,000 to $17,500, according to three sources and corresponding government records obtained by The Daily Beast.

On Oct. 26, 2019, Gaetz attended the “Trump Defender Gala” fundraiser as the featured speaker at the Westgate Lake Resort in Orlando. Two witnesses present recalled friends reconvening at Gaetz’s hotel room for an after-party, where Zalonka prepared lines of cocaine on the bathroom counter. One of those witnesses distinctly remembers Zalonka pulling the drugs out of her makeup bag, rolling a bill of cash, and joining Gaetz in snorting the cocaine.

While The Daily Beast could not confirm that Gaetz and Zalonka had sex that night, two sources said the pair had an ongoing financial relationship in exchange for sex. "She was just one of the many pieces of arm candy he had,” said one source familiar with the encounters between Gaetz and Zalonka.

The congressman—who has declared that he “never paid for sex”—wrote off the stay at the hotel as a campaign expense, with his donors picking up the tab.

His sleaze-bud Greenberg pled guilty today and agree to cooperate on "other adult men" having "commercial" sex with a minor, that he actually observed by the way. These guys are sleazy as (bleep). But you know Gaetz is the type that likes others to watch. Surprised he didn't video himself and show it around the Congress.

Thnaks for the reply. Not that he's not Beavisy and grody, but do we know if Greenberg actually named Gaetz as one of said men who committed stat rape?

In Greenberg's "confession" to Roger Stone in an attempt to get a pardon he named Gaetz as having sex with the same minor he did.

In this plea deal, there are no names given, but typically they do not name people that are not yet charged (e.g. "individual 1" was obviously Trump in the Cohen issue). Gaetz does deny sex with the minor and he also denies paying anyone for sex. Possible he will not be charged.

Lot of this seemed to be pretty much out in the open with multiple witnesses and documentation of payments to women via Venmo but who knows.

Joel Greenberg and U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz on at least one occasion in 2018 were recorded together entering the Seminole County Tax Collector’s Office when it was closed on a weekend night, according to a person familiar with office operations who saw the videotape.

The person said the footage showed Greenberg and Gaetz walking into the Tax Collector’s Lake Mary office on Primera Drive. Greenberg was seen going through baskets where driver’s licenses, turned in by residents for disposal, were stored and later went into a back room, the person said.

An indictment states that Greenberg used his access as an elected official to look up information about a girl between the ages of 14 and 17 in a state database, in order “to produce a false identification document and to facilitate his efforts to engage in commercial sex acts.”

Authorities have said Greenberg had several stolen IDs in his work vehicle the day he was first arrested, on charges that he’d stalked a political rival, as well as a pair of fakes in his wallet and materials for making more in his office.

Totally agree with this bolded, although they need to be careful so that the Retardicans don't then accuse them of being hypocrites.

As a registered left-wing Dem, I've always hated how the party is soft and always insists on taking the high road. One thing I don't understand is why Dems don't do their own gerrymandering to redraw districts in their favor, when Retardicans have never had any problem or shame doing so.

Being called hypocrites? Think how insignificant that is when one side attacked its own capital.

And that’s the problem. Dems care too much about their image. They have better policies in most cases. That’s enough. I think the dems base is ready for dirty play.

Just because conservatives think we're hypocrites doesn't mean it's true.

I'd say conservatives are the real hypocrites, and I'm sure most of our fellow left-wingers on this board would agree.

You guys do realize that they were taken over by zealots who think breaking the rules is ok because their aims are good for the people? Horseshoe theory. Part of what the Dems are fighting for ARE the rules, without which there are not much in the way of differences, just different moral pontification.

Dems gerrymander every opportunity they get....as do Republicans. I am not sure why you are suggesting that Democrats do not take part in this practice. It is literally named after Elbridge Gerry, an early member of the Democrat party. I have never known the Democrat party to pass on an opportunity to gerrymander. Have you ever taken a look @ Maryland's districts over the years? New Mexico? I can guarantee you that New York is about to eliminate a Republican's district after the results of the latest census. Republicans have taken more heat in recent years because they simply have controlled more state legislatures.....but gerrymandering has always been a bipartisan sport.

I read that's not how they do it, it's a much more convoluted sequence than he might've seen in The Dead Zone if he saw it at all (doubtful). If something is complicated, we know he ain't gonna bother to learn it.
