@WojYahooNBA 28s
Lakers assistant Steve Clifford has reached an agreement in principle to become the Charlotte coach, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I want to see if the talk about this guy is real. There's alot of talk about him being the next Tibbs. I guess the cats could have done worse.

The more vacant spots filled the more chances we can get McMillan or Gentry as an assistant. Looks like the Buvks don't have either of them on their list, Clippers are a threat, and Pistons are still who knows. Let's see what happens.

It's setting the stage that Clifford will persuade MJ to flip the fourth pick along with Gordon and Sessions for Pau.

Time to target McMillan and Gentry to round out the staff.

Why would the Bobcats trade the fourth pick for a one year rental in Pau?

Jim Buss is waiting for Mike Dunleavy to join the staff, I sure Buss misses, like some others on this site, watching Mike Dunleavey pulling on his necktie and shaking his head...and of course that slicked back hair...

Steve Clifford and Chuck Person were Dwight Howard's closest relationships on coaching staff. They are both gone now.

D12 is next, we are clearing the house so that MDA and Jim can have their little love affair with Nash and 3 point shooting.

Yes, I am certain this is the plan.

$19 million plus expiring? I suppose in my scenario, the Lakers aren't absorbing any long term contracts (Gordon and Sessions end at the end of next season as well) so it ends up being a wash. But I've read that Charlotte isn't too high on having the fourth pick and would be willing to move it.

interesting... While I am quite happy for him, I am sad to see another quality assistant leave the team. I wonder who are the guys MDA plans to bring in cause the staff is looking very bare and unimpressive.

I thought that was one of our better signings last year because of their Orlando relationship...but not much you can do unless you make him your head coach.

I don't think the with Nash and 3 point shooting part is true.
