Plain and simple Mitch and the Lakers panicked when the Chris Paul trade fell through, instead of following through on getting Scola/Martin/Dragic for Gasol they shipped of Odom for NOTHING and stood pat.
This is the result.
Why would Houston even offer that for Gasol now? He's a 16/9 big man, not terrible, but not all star.
