I have no idea what Kobe was doing on those last two possessions. Why in the world would he try to pass the ball when the Bulls had to foul him? And then it was all set up for a buzzer beating fade away and he drives 1 on 3 to the bucket. I hate when they just give games away like that. Too many TOs and 11-20 at the line didn't help either. It just wouldn't be Christmas without a Lakers loss. At least there were some good things to take away from the game. The new guys looked pretty good overall and they rebounded the ball well. I can't wait to see this team with Drew back in the lineup.

What was the design on the final play? I'd like for just one of these ballwashers in our local media to ask Brown or Kobe that.

"Give it to Kobe and get out of the way" is my guess.

Kobe did have options on that drive with Fisher in the corner and Gasol down low. It was just better team defense by the Bulls knowing Kobe would take that shot and not worrying about Pau underneath.

PostPosted: Sun Dec 25, 2011 5:23 pm    Post subject: just my 2.75 cents..

poor FTs cost the game, esp. from Pau, toward the end of the game...simple as that.

Other than that:
- Glad to see Goudelock being confident & doing what he's supposed to do.
- Ebanks is a keeper. I think he missed only 1 shot today (i think he made 2-3 other shots which didn't count). He really can shoot & he did what he's supposed to do...Reminds me of Trevor Ariza but one who can shoot.
- Good to know Blake continued his hot streak.
- Good to see the 2 new big men showed up. They did what they had to do, hustle, rebound.
- Glad to see a very good effort from the team. Especially them playing very good team D
- Their offense seems a bit off but will improve..

Overall, I think them as a group will improve esp. with A-Bomb coming back soon in 4 games..

the biggest mistake of the game besides the ft and the turnovers was the inbounds play it should have been setup for kobe to get the ball in the backcourt making them chase and foul. they took it right against the midcourt line giving kobe nowhere to go then kobe threw the bad pass. had kobe gotten it in the backcourt they would have had to chase and foul

Kobe made some awful decisions down the stretch but to me the game comes down to the fact our 2nd best player pulled a 14/8.

That just won't get it done against anyone in the NBA. Gasol needs to step up and be a man.

correct however the Bulls have some solid defenders to throw at gasol and they play at a physical level which gasol has struggled with. I hope he picks it up vs other teams and at 31 he's not declining fast.

Kobe's been off his game lately. First the rare choke job, then this.

Same. It seems our scrubs aren't scrubs at all. They did well and had nothing to do with the loss.

He's got a lot of things going through, the divorce, his kids, his wrist...

I'm confident that he'll be better.

despite us having "savy" vets, sometimes we just make the most boneheaded mistakes down the stretch, even in our championship years.

Maybe he just wants to just reach out and be with the people, in Christmases past, Vanessa would be there waiting for him... with his two daughters. He's in a new territory now.
