Paul, Ariza and Belineli all got 20+ points. The Lakers should play better D on them the next game.

Marco is the type of player that will score 4 points the next game with the exact same looks.

Here's a question for you all..

If you could have any current PG instead of Fisher in this team, who will it be?

Keep in mind, the rest of the roster is unchanged, PJ is still coaching and the triangle is still in motion.

dwill

I'd go Rondo before D.Will.

for the triangle? you have gotta be kidding...rondo... gluck with him hitting that outside shot

Yeah coz Fisher and Blake are lights out hey? The PG in the triangle should assist the other scorers in the team. Rondo has the best vision in the game IMO.

Rondo presents NO threat on offense. It's literally 4 on 5. Fisher and Blake at least present a threat of being able to hit from outside.

Any point guard for the current roster and this guy picks Rondo over a D.Wll. This guy...

rondo will FAIL in the tri

Why would we need an outside scorer as a PG? We have enough scorers in the team. We have Kobe. Why do you think Allen an Pierce get open shots? Rondo drives and pops out an open look for the scorers.
Todays PG has changed alot. Rose and Williams and CP3 leading their team as the main scorer, but for the triangle a pure PG is needed. Rondo and Nash are the best at that.

that alone lets me know you dont know what youre talking about. nash, yes. rondo, no.

lol . . .Nash is one of the best outside shooters in the history of the game; Rondo can't shoot free throws.

how can you mention them in the same sentence?

Big difference in this game is the zebras...balance call. Even though a little phantom calls but nothing compared to the previous 4 games.

John Paxson,BJ Armstrong,SteveKerr pure PG's? Those were the " point guards" for the Bulls team.

how about bringing LA boy Russ Westbrook back, and as for Rondo...triangle is more about spacing than it is about dribble penetrating, here's a link for you and note that the point guard's priority in this offense is not to come off a pick and roll and dribble penetrate, but to initiate the triangle and shooting open jumpers is key http://nbaplaybook.com/2010/10/25/lakers-triangle-offense/

kobe: mvp. 'nough said.

bynum: beast.

pau: great job today rotating on defense. he was active defensively, and actually MOVED to the ball to grab some boards. great sign. that being said, wtf was up with his defense on landry? looked like he was forcing him baseline, expecting 'drew to help, but there were waaaaaay too many instances of him giving up the baseline and 'drew being on the other side of the paint for it to have been the defensive game plan. play your man straight up pau, jesus. and against aaron gray, why the (bleep) do you keep using that awkward fadeaway? ATTACK HIM. catch the ball and go against him, don't let him set up on you. and once you get in position, USE YOUR (bleep) HOOK SHOT.

fisher: great (bleep) job today. did a great job of moving his feet and being disruptive on the ball. nice shooting too.

artest: men among boys baby. beasted beninelli again. great job. stop giving ariza so much space on those corner threes though.

lamar: like pau, much better job being active defensively today. stop jacking up quick 3s though, damn.

blake: great job. moved his feet extremely well, made great passes (still the best post entry passer by far), and hit a big shot.

shannon: still dumb as a post, but at least he hit some shots today.

barnes: finally a good game from him from his activity. it's been a while. and it has been missed.

overall, great win today. the hornets were hitting some stupidly ridiculous shots in the first quarter to build a nice lead for themselves, the lakers didn't panic, and the second unit with pau and lamar did a great job getting us back in it, and in the second half the second unit with 'drew and lamar did a great job finishing the job and putting the game away. nice gritty win.

i'd just like to say i'm glad the lakers didn't thank god after this win, because, according to chris paul and trevor ariza after game 4, he's rooting for the hornets.

eff him

Just got home from the game and fortunately, I was able to work my magic again

Few things:
Kobe- ankles? Kobe needs ankles? Psshhh.... Staples went WILD in the 2nd quarter
Bynum- absolute beast and sure as hell did his part
Fish- fantastic game on both sides of the ball...neutralized CP3
Gasol- looked terrible on defense against Landry, but on D was good against others. Finally saw Black Swan on the and-1 in the 2nd half. Crowd cheered him on enough.
Artest- 'nuff said
Bench: Overall, very good...not as efficient on offense, but the defense made a huge difference. Blake and Barnes great D. Shannon had up/downs, but more ups this time

Staples Center: PLAYOFF ATMOSPHERE. Loudest all year and the crowd was buzzing well before tip-off. You could just feel it was going to be a good one.

Lakergal16- I'll be tired as hell in the faculty meeting tomorrow at 7:45am and will be a zombie teaching, but it was all worth it!
