We might be missing Blake and Barnes. Not good having starters play extended minutes on a B2B.

This ain't some meaningless December game. We're too close to first not to come with it. I expect a gritty game, but we'll come through.

There are 3 starters who won't be playing for the Jazz right? Or something like injured... can't really remember.

Nonetheless, we must win!

Go Lakers!

Bobby must be hype for the upcoming game. Remember when the Lakers lost games couple months ago and you were "upset" and "letting stream out?"

Destroy them early. Don't give them any light or hope. Take it up to 20-30 lead at halftime and let Smith and Rat play the rest of the way.

Yessir!

My fear is we may actually need Old Joe for this one....

Let's hope we've got at least 2 B's on the floor tomorrow.

Joe playing a minute or two here or there I can handle. The idea that Luke may get most of Barnes 20mins. That will be tough.

Back-to-back game... on the road... at Utah with their reputation... having 3 Lakers possibly getting some sort of punishment... with Stu Jackson and David Stern at the helm.

Yup, the Lakers are gonna have to play a picture perfect game to win this one.

Like all our other win streaks, this is where we cough up a game. Recent history is against this Laker squad, back to back, and on the road to boot. They have all the reason to lose. If they handle business in Utah, then they will bust Denver too and finally get a double digit win streak. This is the game. They either lose the streak, or use Utah as a stepping stone to an even a longer win streak.

Fish barely got burn tonight and got a lot of minutes in garbage time. I wouldn't exactly be worried if he had to play extra minutes in Utah.

With Barnes gone, that means more minutes for Artest, and Shannon probably with Kobe at the 3. Again, these guys all played 30 mins or less tonight.

Lakers are at the point now where if they want the 1 seed, they have to win out. Simple as that. And with the way they have played defense lately, if they continue to play like that, they wont lose unless the other team hits all their shots....

first road game in a good while for the lakers. I hope it isn't a bit of a shell shock not having the home court crowd. Kobe always torches utah, so I expect him to come with it tonight. 30 plus out of mamba.
