Laron Profit was on the radio here in the DC area a few days ago on the John Thompson show the ex coach of the Hoyas.

Profit says he gets on the phone and tell his moms I just might have seen one of the top 2 greatest players ever.

Found the link, and posted it on the 1st page.

Thanks!

yeah, and he wasn't even on the team that long either. he would have thrown every opponent off...that guy was kobe's frinking twin. i always had a hard time telling laron and kobe apart.

Wow I can't believe after reading all these quotes about Kobe from great players, that (right now) I like Laron Profit's the best.

Bump for Gary Payton:

Quote:
MANILA, Philippines - Gary Payton, who played with Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade on the Miami team that won the 2006 NBA title, said the other day the pressure is on the Heat’s Big Three – not Fil-Am coach Erik Spoelstra – to prove they can deliver a championship to the franchise.

“The pressure is on Dwyane, LeBron (James) and Chris (Bosh) to show it was worth all the trouble of getting them together,” he said. “I’ve played with Dwyane and it’s no knock on him but if you compare him with Kobe (Bryant), there’s a big difference in their work ethic. I played with Kobe, too, and he’d be more from my era. Kobe knows how to be humble. If Kobe loses a game, you’ll see him the next day in the gym, working extra hard to make sure he’ll be better. I don’t know if it’s the same with Dwyane. They’re both great players but Dwyane is more the show type. There are high expectations for the Heat. It’s up to the Big Three to show they deserve to be up there with the best.

Everyone so pre-occupied with LeBron's LIST, that Kobe's own LIST just keeps growing too.

Ahhhh

I am relishing the absolute quietness of all the eastern haters. Since the finals I have note heard bleep from ANY of the lebronze-lebcrab-leDecesi'on teabaggers. Pure cricketness

Has he finally awakened the Untimate Occular Jutsu on the entire planet? The Mambateratsu? The BB-Sage of the six paths? Reflecting his awesomeness off of the moon so that all may realize he is the ultimate badass? Even I dare say, BSPN?

The John Celestand article is an oldie but goodie. He really should consider writing. He's 10x better than that contrived idiot Paul Shirey.
