John Starks? Why? Even if he exhibited any douche behavior I'd grant him a reprieve because he lost a testicle.

I realize he played for the Lakers, but shouldn't Kermit Washington make the list for nearly decapitating Rudy T?

And what about Ted Stepien, former owner of the Cavs, who was so horrible that the league had to change the rules to keep him from being so horrible:

Quote:
In the 1980s, new owner Ted Stepien quickly hired and fired a succession of coaches, made a number of poor trades and poor free agent signing decisions. Stepien's poor trades cost the team several first round draft picks, and led to a rule change in the NBA prohibiting teams from trading away first round draft picks in consecutive years. The rule is known as the "Ted Stepien Rule."

And no Laimbeer?

And no Donald Sterling?

And the current owners, Clay Bennett, et al., of the Thunder for hijacking the team from Seattle?

This list could go on and on and on.

Despite the punch, I've heard that Kermit Washington was actually well-liked by most others.

I've heard Rick Barry was a big douche.

Nice catch. Can't believe I forgot about him. SI did a very long feature on him where Barry himself admits what a jerk he was:

Quote:
"The way I looked alienated a lot of people," Barry says. "I've seen films of myself and seen the faces I made. I looked terrible." He closes his eyes to the memory and shakes his head. "I acted like, a jerk. Did a lot of stupid things. Opened my big mouth and said a lot of things that upset and hurt people. I was an easy person to hate. And I can understand that. I tell kids, There's nothing wrong with playing the way Rick Barry played, but don't act the way Rick Barry acted.' I tell my own kids, 'Do as I say, not as I did.' "

What bothers him isn't that he's not beloved.

"It bothers me," Barry says, "that I'm not even liked."

Remember that thread "If the Lakers had a forum about LG posters"

So...

Who are the biggest DBs in LGs posting history?

Had to vote for Red. Not only does he deserve it, but he was the only Celtic on the list, and if its a negative thing, I automatically vote green...

Please. Kermit was and is a good guy. He didn't do anything that a lot of guys haven't done. He was just unlucky in that he landed a direct punch and that Rudy's skull is apparently made of paper machier. It certainly wasn't worse than some of the altercations Artest has had.
