Ebanks has length, but he definitely isn't as quick as Trevor. I'm not sure he would be able to guard smaller quick players like Ariza can.

^Ebanks lateral quickness looks solid, couple guys have tried moves on him and he stays in front.

Caracter's offense is smooooth. Once he actually catches the ball and controls it he protects it well, but he fumbles a lot of passes Kwame-like. He has a sweet touch around the basket as well as from about 18-20 ft. His rebounding is good, but he picks up a ton of fouls throwing his body around. He has looked way better than I expected.

Ebanks is seriously Ariza on offense. He may even shoot better. I haven't seen Ariza's quickness from him on defense yet, but he has better length and has done pretty well anyways. His shot was underrated in the draft. Everyone made it seem like the guy couldn't throw a pea in the ocean. Not true.

I haven't seen it, but I heard Ebanks did a good job on John Wall.

Anyone remember this??

I didn't see it either, but here is Wall's game log from Kentucky. He played W Virginia his last regular season game.

Kurz almost broke his neck. wow he's very clumsy on the court in general.

Ebanks gotta get more active defensively. He's not gonna be around long because he can get buckets. he needs to start being an energetic defender. he has none of Ariza defensive nose for the ball or energy on defense.

i like strawberry caracter and ebanks.
strawberry is steady and makes good decisions - he is making some passes that should be caught but aren't, and he should be aware of who he's passing to, but swap rob kurz for pau gasol and those passes become dunks.

caracter has a patient and intelligent post game (reminds me of pau actually) but i'd like to see a bit more intensity on defense/rebounding.

ebanks is a keeper - he obviously has a great feel for the game, he finds the right spots in the triangle, doesn't hesitate to take the shot when he has an opening, and plays great help defense.

i hate green.

everyone else hasn't made much of an impression.

ZOMG DC is a beast

He's totally unphased by double/triple teams and actually makes productive moves when you'd think he'd lose the ball in traffic

those of you complaining about ebanks' defense, remember that he played the 1 on a 1-3-1 zone throughout college. he used his length and athleticism mainly as a help defender playing lanes rather than playing lock down one on one defense.

that's why if you watch, he is always in a good spot when he's playing help defense, but his on ball defense could use work.

that being said, he has the tools to be a great defender, it will just take a bit of coaching to convert him back from that zone mentality to a man to man mentality.

These kids are going to be significant upgrades on the bench. Maybe even this year, but a year or two down the line, we are going to cherish these types of players coming off the bench. They aren't useless like a lot of the other benchwarmers we have.

1. And Ebanks continues to look like an NBA keeper. Very nice draft day for the 2 time champs. 6 minutes ago via TweetDeck

2. Caracter is very nimble for such a big guy. That should help him a great deal on the boards. 13 minutes ago via TweetDeck

3. Gerald Green is a shining example of how more than athleticism is needed as an NBA 2. 17 minutes ago via TweetDeck

I swear, if you wear a Laker uniform, you're an automatic foul magnet.

...and again, in case I haven't said it enough, Green sucks.

Ebanks has a sweet stroke from the free throw line.
