What do you mean "cut"?...Did you mean not play Odom?...That's not an option at this point, we need him...Odom will be there even if Bynum is good to go.

I mean waived...like ok Mr. Odum, we are going to pay you your contract, but you are not on the team anymore.

Nice idea. Let's get rid of our fourth best player, and give him the remaining 16 million of his contract for absolutely nothing. We'll replace him with Powell and Mbenga. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Theres no reason why you would want to cut Lamar unless you're a hater _________________ “A story about Kobe is the first time they went to be fitted for their USA uniforms and Kobe starts crying. The only exaggeration I see in this entire thread is asking whether Lamar should be cut. _________________ “A story about Kobe is the first time they went to be fitted for their USA uniforms and Kobe starts crying. Is this a joke? he's under contract and the trade deadline is past. You can't just cancel a players contract unless they violate some rule like "snowboarding" or doing some other sport that has high injury risk. Yes, we could buy out his contract but we'd owe double the amount and get zero for it.
You shouldn't give up on players so easily, without Odom we wouldn't even be in the playoffs. The celtics are simply a bad matchup for him.
To be fair with the OP, he/she asked a question...I would say, NO, players don't get waived during the playoffs, I heard of players been suspended by coaches, but that's has to be an extreme case...Teams are not allowed to waive players during playoffs. Odom would never be waived, he could be traded in the regular season, but that's about it...Or they could terminate his contract due to a breach of itself...All that during the course of a regular season.

You're worried about cutting one of our top 5 players? If Odom isn't going to show up, we'll make him literally not show up! Yeah! Great idea!
We'll then be stuck with one-legged Bynum, Gasol, Josh Powell, and Mbenga.
Josh Powell is far superior to Odom, as we all know. *Sarcasm*
You guys need to leave LG until you come back with an opinion that isn't straight from the mind of Glenn Beck. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

No, but there have been those (Kerr) who got punched in the face by a teammate (Jordan) during a series.
Maybe Odom needs a nice punch in the face to wake up. _________________ Winning recipe: Effort, Intensity, Focus, Composure, Patience, Execution, Attention to detail, Discipline & Persistence
