Kobe and Pau don't need more rest

They need other guys to show up and produce to make the game less exhausting. A 48 minute game is alot harder than a 38 minute game if you have constant pressure knowing the rest of your team isn't going to show up and you have to work harder to make plays for your team on defense and offense. That is a big reason they had alot of turnovers cause they felt they had to toe the line more to make plays cause guys weren't working hard enough to get in scoring position and make plays themselves.
