Both of the first two games are critical.

Boston has been nails on the road this postseason - might be very tough to avoid a split, but if we can get Thursday - puts us in good position for Sunday's game as well. Last thing we want is a must-win situation in Game 2.

Absolutely.

Anything less than 2-0 is a huge, humongous disappointment given what happened in 2008.

Lakers need to protect home court at all costs, no stumbles.

Lakers are 3-1 in the last 4 games. 3 games decided by 1 point. Very evenly matched...

Highly contested games. Whole team needs to bring it in the Finals.

Thx for the catch BobbyJ. Math a little off. The games were close but we left with the W.

I personally feel the Lakers are a better team than the Celts, but I think a BIG factor is the Lakers owning the homecourt advantage

They jostled one another with their elbows as players lined up around the midcourt circle for the opening tip and were warned to cut it out by referee Marc Davis.

Artest still seemed irritated afterward.

"I was in my position and he tried to put his leg over my position. But if you're not strong enough, you shouldn't be fighting with me," he said. "If you really can't match my strength, then why even try to pick a fight? Why even try to tussle? I was on the white line and you cannot cross my line."

Artest got the final laugh that night, holding Pierce to 15 points on four-for-11 shooting and drawing a late charge on him in the Lakers' 90-89 victory.

I was just on the official Celtics website and I find it very interesting that the Celtics are flying to LA today after there practice session.

Here is what it says on there website:

Quote:
The Celtics will practice Monday afternoon in Waltham before flying to Los Angeles this afternoon to prepare for Thursday night's Game 1 at Staples Center.

Not sure. Possibly they are staying at the Ritz downtown. I think they will be practicing at UCLA.

I'd love to be there to rough up their small little bus.

Seriously, I'd love to do that. Don't want to hurt them but pushing around their bus would be fun.

Time for a good old-fashioned L.A. welcome. Here's the Tuesday itinerary.

12:01 a.m. Fire alarms, for old times' sake.

12:32 a.m. LA Fire Department skips the alarms and gets them out of bed with high-pressure hoses.

3:14 a.m. Slash gives 'em 20 minutes of guitar solo at 190 db.

5:00 a.m. Seacrest is up -- have 'em blast 4 straight hours of Lady Gaga right outside their hotel window for no dang good reason.

9:18 a.m. Mayor Villaraigosa does something useful and has all the furloughed sanitation workers unload the holiday weekend trash in their bus and practice facility.

11:20 a.m. Jack's up -- have him go for tee-off practice and launch 2 buckets of Top-Flites right at Rivers' noggin.

1:01 p.m. Have the folks at Philippe's on Alameda poor about 40 gallons of greasy steaming hot au jus sauce all over the floors of their hotel -- Rondo's gotta slip on something sometime.

3:57 p.m. Send Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and a half-dozen of San Fernando Valley starlets over to the team's hotel floor with a camera crew and about 100 pills of X for a lunchtime party.

4:46 p.m. LAPD sends Hardcore Gang Division after Sheed for breathing.

6:15 p.m. Pink's airdrops 500 pounds of chili dogs on Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby, forces them to eat their way out of the pile.

6:30 p.m. LAFD comes back and hoses off the debris.

7:33 p.m. Viacom/ MTV have Justin Bieber do an impromptu concert during a KG interview, lets him get mauled to death by 4000 rabid tweeners.

9:06 p.m. Fox TV chips in and the entire cast of Glee chases Paul Pierce down the street with wheelchairs and torches while singing "Proud Mary" and "Don't Stop Believing."

10:09 p.m. Tom Cruise storms their hotel rooms and jumps on all their couches and beds like a freaking lunatic.

11:51 a.m. Will Ferrell goes streaking up and down their floors hurling fish tacos at them and screaming that he's on fire.

12:00 midnight -- Repeat.

First we need to find out what hotel they are staying at. Then we need to find somebody that knows the Chef at the hotel they are staying at. Can you say Food Poisioning!
