They shocked the world by being the youngest and most inexperienced team to get preferential ref bailout treatment.
Haha -- yeah, shocking, until you remember who their opponents were.

It's the Lakers against the Thunder AND the refs..who will win
That's how it will always be in the Kobe era, every step of the way. 5 on 8 basketball.

Vegas stat had it right..Stern is laughing all the way to the bank on this one..Refs did the job
Like I've said, they can rig it, but they can't guarantee the results will be what they want. They can only keep it close. They can do a helluva lot to put a team in position, but they can't knock down shots for them in the crunch, can't sink those clutch free throws, can't grab that crucial rebound.
(And, looking back at Game 5, it's obvious no amount of rigging can stop a Hurricane from overturning the boat. )
As Kobe characterized it tonight, Pau kept playing. Excellent. Just because Kobe has the ball in the final ticks, you don't stand around and watch. Crash the boards, come up with the game winner!
Why must Kobe always attempt a fallaway last second jumper? Seemed he had a clear path to the basket. At the very least he would've gotten freethrows.
Does Kobe think he's going to be a hero every single time? I know we remember a lot of his makes, but statistically he is not as clutch as we all think. What's worse, unlike other superstars Kobe won't give it up, so everybody on the planet knows where the defensive focus ought to be and this makes the Lakers very predictable in these situations.
This is a perfect illustration of Kobe's need for drama and individual glory overriding what's best for the team. If not for the tip-in by Gasol, this game would've been lost. Who knows what a game 7 would entail.
durant should stop looking to get fouled and start focusing on playing the game the right way. I'm so sick of these manufactured superstars. Kobe is the last of his breed. _________________ https://psntrophyleaders.com/user/view/tenike1
