It was a correct call, but it's always a little surprising to see a call like that in crunch time. Artest's reaction was a bit exaggerated, but it looked like he just lost his balance.

LOL at the Smeltic fan complaining about Ron Ron's oscar winning performance. I guess he has a short memory cause he seems to have forgotten about a wheelchair and a little girl named Paulina.

Ron's good at amplifying a reaction to call some attention to a foul, he doesn't do it on every play and will get the calls at certain times. With him bowling into the stands and having people help him up really makes it work.

I find it hilarious that on a Nuggets/Spurs general discussion board that they call Pau Gasol a vagina and Marc Gasol's sister and yet Pau rapes them every time he plays them. So what they are saying metaphorically is if they were men in a female prison, they would get butt raped by a bunch of butch women right?

Quit whining about the refs
There was that bogus call where the ball clearly went off Big Baby at one end and the Celtics got the ball, not to mention the refs not seeing that Perk’s rebound was aided when he bounced the ball off the back of the stanchion. There were bad/missed calls both ways. In the end the Lakers made the plays and Boston did not.

And btw… how come Sheed gets a tech for saying “And 1” to the ref, but not Kobe? Just wondering.

Because one's an all-time great and the other's an all-time whiner

Celts = R.I.P.!!

Too old, and too washed-up. A Kobe at not even 25 % Ate you guys alive.

What game were you watching? He did hit a tough shot at the end of the game but to say that he ate is up is just plain wrong. Also thanks for letting us know the health status...go away.

The Celtics will make the playoffs (I hope) but they seem to have trouble beating the tough teams. That offensive foul on Paul was a nice flop by Artest. We should have won the game but we seem to blow leads in the fourth quarter.

Quote:
Kobe hit one shot. The washed up Celtics shut him down all game long. Kobe didn't beat the Celtics. They blew the game themselves. Time to make a trade to get another scorer in here. We might as well get something for Ray Allen while we can because the Celts aren't resigning him in the offseason anyways. Trade him to a team who wants to get in the Lebron, Wade, or Bosh sweepstakes so that team can shred salary.

Quote:
...Lakers cut a 8 Pt Boston lead in the 4th in less than 1:30 of game time, and this with Kobe having only 3 fingers, a bad, crippling back, and a sprained ankle...Ah NO,,I'd say it's a damn fine time to " panic "

That's why Kobe is Kobe, and why the Celts have junior players like Pierce as their leader. Celts are " Officially " DONE!!

^ Hilarious comment about the "healthy Garnett" - Kobe's playing with 9 fingers, a not 100% back, a bum ankle that just got injured the other day, and other ailments.

Spurs fans calling Gasol soft, when they have the biggest ref-coddled pussbag superstar in the league in Duncan? And the same Gasol that has owned them too? Bitter idiots.

They can't really complain about the refs at the end. About a minute left in the game, Perkins or whoever threw up a shot that went over the backboard and hit the camera, which should've been automatic OOB and ball to the Lakers. The game even went to some timeout afterwards where they could've reviewed it (<than 2 minutes to go in the game) but since it wasn't called an OOB play, none of the refs bothered. Celtics get the ball, Allen gets fouled, 2 free points. Phil called it out too. What's the point of replays at the end of the game if no one bothers to check them at a timeout (especially if a coach is complaining)?

If you were watching on ABC, they talked about it as well.

post game interview w/phil, he said since the refs didn't see it that way, so to the refs, there was nothing for them to review.

I think that's more of a diagnosis for Ron. Lamar is suffering from "bad taste".

Refs get way too much power in this game. I can see that's something easy to miss without looking at a replay but no excuse for a team getting the ball when they shouldn't, especially with less than 2 minutes to go in a game.

Probably should be sensors on those cameras and the back of the backboards. That way if the ball touches it, it'll set off a noise, and everyone will know it really did go OOB.

Ron Artest - OSCAR AWARD WINNER! Paul pushed a tiny bit and Artest flew backwards. And the announcers thought it was a great call. Because they're morons. YOU THINK KOBE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN CALLED FOR AN OFFENSIVE FOUL????????????????????????????

I'm sorry but the Oscar Award Winner will always be Paulina for her role in the NBA Finals in 2008.

Tony or Ray, it doesn't matter. They can even send Tim Allen for a double team, Kobe will still make that shot.

Go ahead and throw Woody in there too. Kobe will take them all

Green scumbags. The victim being the guy who, when someone touches him w/ their forearm, makes the same face you would make if you smashed your thumb while hammering a nail.
