I was always high on this guy, felt like he has a lot of potential. He's let me down with some off the court stuff and took a step backwards it seemed on the court.
I think his coach lost faith in him and stopped playing him. He definitely has a lot of talent. I think in a backup role he could be good. Hopefully he's able to get back on track here on the court and off the court.
Love this signing. Young athletic big that can learn from AD, how to be a defensive monster. He can actually mimic AD’s athletically on Def. This guy can change from end to end in a blur and can sky with the best of them. He comes in with a lot of energy, seems like every one we picked has this kind of motor. Mo is tall but motor is a old 4 cylinder. Spacing might be a problem, but if you can get him to develop defensively what a bargain.
The pick and rolls with DLO, Reaves and LeBron are about to be crazy. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Coach who was trying to make the playoffs had to choose between Larry Nance Jr and Jaxson Hayes as his backup center. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot!

Ya and Larry Nance got hurt again as a result. They didn't even bother developing Hayes, who had sparks of excellence at times but was immediately shelved as soon as the vets were healthy.
He'll feast on the Lakers because at least Handy and the player development staff will be invested in him. To get consistency out of him, you just have to play him and not pull him every time he makes mistakes. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.

IDK much about him but talented head cases (the vibe I'm getting) are always great to put next to the arguable GOAT and AD (also Ham & Handy). Hard to have more locker room ethos to get young guys to get their (bleep) together.
Well he beats women and also sucks. But is also probably the best backup C we could get with the minimum. I hope Castleton turns out to be serviceable because I don't particularly want to root for this dude.
I know right? I thought the Lakers took character into account. This guy belongs on the Clippers.
So excited and hyped for him. Pels fans just keep taking Ls. Trash franchise and trash fans, if they even exist. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.

All these years later I still laugh when I hear Joel Meyers commentating. Such a blast from the past lol
I tend to agree with this. There is a a difference between being a high energy guy that plays with an edge and an outright knucklehead that's a bad character guy. From the little I've learned of him (including his own video post), he seems to be the latter. Hopefully he can turn his attitude around but as of now, I'm a bit down on this and won't be the least bit surprised if he has more "incidents".
Watched Hayes highlights and rewatched Mo… Mo moves like a turtle compare to this guy.
Mo just lack energy and motor compare to Hayes.
Nailed it.
Hayes attacks the paint and dives ready to dunk on someone. I miss having a guy like Dwight and Javale that would just dunk the ball on someone
I'm with you guys.
Also.. you run the same offense and defense with Hayes in as you do with AD.. outside of the post ups for AD. You can run P&R with Hayes because he can destroy the rim... Mamba cannot do that and is an outside-in guy. You also can play your same drop coverage with Hayes because he's a fantastic all-around athlete.

The pelicans are known for not being able to develop their talent keeping my fingers crossed that a change of scenery helps him
