Yes, because Russia has nuclear weapons and NATO nations are not going to start WWIII over Ukraine.

Putin is doing the full Iraq WMD routine right now on state tv.

I think they legitimately believe they'll be treated as liberators.

Starting to feel like there may be a 4th a 3 taking place, and the QB is just trying to get the defense to jump off sides. I am not saying Russia will not invade.....only there is a slight chance it does not happen if he can find an off ramp.

Catching some of his speech rn and I'm skeptical. Putin sounds completely bloodthirsty:
Quote:
"Contemporary Ukraine should be called The Vladimir I. Lenin Republic of Ukraine. And then they tore down his statues and called it de-communization. You want decommunization? We're prepared to show you what that really means for Ukraine."

Na man.....they are asking Putin to come in and help them. He just wants Ukraine to stop all the violence.

Even though my brain knows we should not get involved, listening to that Putin speech made me want to bomb Moscow.

He's entrenched his power such that I can't imagine a popular revolution breaking out there, but it would be so nice to see and his cronies go out Mussolini style.

What does Putin want in there? Isn't Russia big enough already?

Whatever the heck that means.

Most of Russia in uninhabitable and only good for resource extraction. Same reason why Canada is huge in terms of landmass but there are only a couple of cities with lots of people.

Putin announces he has green lit a “special military operation” in Ukraine to “demilitarize and denazify” the country.

Putin: “To anyone who would consider interfering from outside: If you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history. All the relevant decisions have been taken. I hope you hear me,”

Sure sounds like he’s threatening nuclear retaliation against anyone who tries to interfere.

Empty threat. Putin's a whack job. But he knows that following through on that threat just ends with mutually assured destruction.

I wonder how much Intel Trump gave to Russia on US Infrastructure and obscure info Hackers needed

Remember the Hawaii and Japan incoming missile alerts.. what were those mistakes of the highest..

God forgive any Ukranian who kills as many invaders as they possibly can

Russia is aligned with North Korea in Rogue states

Time to kick out every Russian of high rank and remove every Oligarch from our borders.. including Trump

Russia should be kicked out of the UN

One cool thing I read today was the Bidens first call with Putin told him in no uncertain terms
that attacking a power plant or any part of our national grid via hacking will be the same as physically attacking us and will be considered an act of War...

I know it's not that important in the grand scheme of things, but all sporting organizations should ban Russian national teams and clubs indefinitely.

I don't think you have to worry about that since the sanctions will prevent western companies from doing business with Russian entities.

Russia is going all out with their invasion. They're taking over the whole country, not just the east.

There were implicit hints that the inner circle wasn't that much enthusiastic about this thing. We know the Russians, when they are asked, aren't for this.

Let's hope for some internal coup. I know the chances are small, but Putin's crazy and no longer a rational actor and there must be people around him wondering what the heck's he's doing.

This is horrific on every scale.. As if NK were to Invade SK

Russia is said to have had 70ish percent of their whole ground military there?

Putin should be treated the same way he has treated others.. is that wrong? He has murdered innocent people with poison..

I wouldn't call that "cool".

If those people didn't do anything leading up to this, I don't see why they would now. It's like not anyone ever believed he was just bluffing.

There goes 70+ years of relative peace on the continent. There needs to be a price to pay so heavy Putin's people will offer his botoxed fat (bleep) head on a pike to get free from the pain.
