I like Christian. He fills a need on this team that Jaxson Hayes cant. If this happens, its a direct consequence of Bronny.

I agree. I wonder if they could do the same with Hayes.

The stretch is over 2x+1 years, so stretching Hayes clears up $821,000. That might actually be just enough.

I would do something like:

LA Cam Johnson

Nets DLO/JHS/1 1st (LA)

LA Sexton/Kessler

Utah Rui/Vincent/1st (LA)/ 2027 change it to unprotected.

Sign GTJ Vet Min if no one gives a contract similar to how we got Malik Monk take a chance.

Resign Spencer Dinwiddie

Sexton/Spencer/Bronny
GTJ/Reaves/Christie
Cam/Vando/Knect
Bron/Wood
AD/Kessler/Hayes

This tax apron issue is a joke. Christie shouldn’t have gotten more than the taxpayer MLE, maybe slightly more, and we wouldn’t have a problem.

JJ is a Hayes fan not Wood. JJ talked about liking defensive bigs that can crash the offensive boards from the weak side. IMO Wood goes before Hayes unless a legit center comes via trade.

so, Jazz (kessler, sexton perhaps collins), Nets (dfs, cam johnson) and Blazers (grant) and kuzma

lakers do not want to give up a first for dfs or cam johnson, they'd probably give 1 for grant and would probably give 1 for kessler/sexton (but not collins). kuzma? idk, probably not.

cam johnson, kuzma and grant would make rui obsolete
dfs would likely make vando obsolete
sexton would make dlo obsolete
kessler would make both wood and hayes obsolete

Rui can hit his 3's....Kuz is a nice to have, not a must have, but
only if he's cheap

I agree. People forget. Kuz would have to play in a system again where he struggled. Big difference in taking shots (as many as he wants in Wash) and getting shots here. Rui has accepted getting shots although his D was pathetic especially against Porter who kicked his ass. That's why I don't mind trading Rui but not for Kuz

Same.

It's crazy how some fans want to trade some good/decent players for slightly better/the same/or worse players and want to include 1st round picks.

D or E if those are the available trades. Grant is massively over paid. Arguably Portland should be the ones to give up a pick, forget about sending to their way. I love Kuz, but he’s a role player on a good team and a scorer on a bad one. He’s not that much better than Rui, let alone two first thrown in too. B is the most intriguing, but I’d pass on that too since Derozan’s playoff rep is as bad or worse than Dlo’s (people have somehow forgotten this with DDR winning the Bulls games during the regular season), and Dlo has a skill set that fits better for the team.

As they should be. DFS has been actively bad. Cam is intriguing, but he’s injury prone as they come. Bruce Brown took a big falloff after leaving the Nuggets. It might be worth giving up a pick (not for DFS) for one of the latter two guys, but the Lakers have to be sure.

Bruce Brown shot 31% from 3 last season. No names and just looking at stats, DLO is way better and people would trade him and a pick for Brown. Lol

Should be pretty easy, fit Bronny salary inside Bron’s max, quid pro quo for drafting/reg contract

This.

Please no Kuz. He has shot 34% or under from 3-point range the last three seasons, and he didn't fit in that well during his one season with LeBron and AD.

Yeah I genuinely prefer Rui since he's cheaper and much more efficient offensively. And they probably want a pick too. Just steer clear.

LAKERS HAVE DONE NOTHING.

DJJ and Kyle Anderson are nice pieces but all those names are pretty equivalent to C.Wood, Hayes, Max and Cam.

DJJ and Kyle Anderson were rotation players for teams that made the Western Conference Finals.

Wood/Hayes/Max/Cam didn't play for a team that basically got swept Round 1.

This is why I think people are sleeping on Cam Johnson, saying he's not worth a first - he fits the bill of 1) the two-way swingman we desperately need, and 2) a guy who's actually been a starter/major rotation player on a Finals team/contender. He's in his prime and likely has a movable deal on top of that, should we ever need to put together a bigger package down the line for someone. There's some injury concerns there, but no addition is going to be perfect or without risk, and he's as close as there is IMO.

If the Nets wanna tank now that they have their own pick back, offer Rui/Vincent/pick for Cam (maybe try to get Sharpe added).

Drafting Bronny has done more damage in lakers’ free agent pursuit than people realize. Lakers is now lebron family run business, all fairness and competitiveness can be thrown out of the window. A roster spot will be given to Bronny regardless of how he performs in preseason and in practice. Why would they come to this circus?

Don’t tell me about Bronny basketball skills. Even his talent warrants the 55th pick, Lakers should known better not to draft him any way. Just like you never hire your relative in your business, same concept.
