I wanted Deni, but not at that price

One thing’s for sure - whoever we trade for, we’ll have to be super sure they can be an impact player, given the picks we’d likely need to give up

I don't see much of a market for guys like Trae or Murray. We've seen what they can do together. Murray was brought in to make Atlanta a contender (in a weak Eastern Conference). Tonight, they'll be picking first.

Sorry but I am not giving up Austin unless we are getting something really good. And that player does not exist on the Hawks.

Notice the trend? Above average players in their 20s are either fetching lots of asset in return or signing ridiculous deals. Here we are holding onto a 40 year old Lebron and 32 year old fragile AD.

I would trade AD yesterday. Too bad this FO is too fixated on "STARSSS".

We don’t have our FRP next year, so there’s literally no point in not trying to contend in 2025

The Knicks' trade price is a little worrisome on what it may mean for prices on other guys out there, but it might not be THAT bad for a few reasons:

- The Knicks picks aren't going to be good for awhile. I may not believe in them as an actual contender, but they're good and young. That's all it takes to have worthless picks. They're going to be a high seed for many years.

- They gave up no high-value players in the deal. Bogdanovic is 35 and didn't do a lot in NYK.

All in all, I think the Lakers should still be able to make deals.

AD just had his first healthy season in a minute. I hope he keeps it up, but that's no sure bet.

He could have learned how to play through pain but he did fall to the ground when mpj brushed his shoulder

You say that as if he didn't finish the game playing through the pain.

With the Hawks preparing to select Zaccharie Risacher, De’Andre Hunter is being shopped to interested teams.

Hunter, the No. 4 pick from the 2019 draft, has three years remaining on his current deal.

Atlanta will move forward with Jalen Johnson and Risacher on the wing.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if they can get much for him in the way of draft assets. He's a little pricey and he's simply not been good.

Is he a good defender? I remember the year he was in the draft we were labeling him lock down

He's a bad defender and a legit reason their team defense is so terrible. Analytically he's graded out as awful in all of his seasons except one; his second season looked like he might be showing something. Yeah, downhill since then.
