People salivate over getting all of these picks, but they still ultimately need to be used well.
The Celtics have been hoarding FRPs for years and years, and didn't win a title until they put Holiday and Porzingis together last off-season. They let a lot of FRPS come and go.
It's not THAT amazing. If you don't use them in trades late on, you're just picking a bunch of players. And success rates aren't going to be over .500 no matter what team you are. |

He's kinda like Westbrick in that he has an expiring contract but the contract is so big that it's hard for suitable teams to find enough garbage contracts to match. Let's hope for a buyout and swoop him up. Lonzo and Ben, come on down!!

I mean 18ppg 42% 3fg with 6.3apg to 2.1tov
Bridges 19.6ppg 37% 3fg with 3.6apg to 2.0tov

Timing is everything. This is the same team that traded away Kyrie for peanuts.
Lakers have to strike with the right team at the right time. Maybe the Nets are a good target now that the Mikal trade clearly signals what they want to do. The Bulls are there too.
I think Nets played it perfectly when they put it out there that they wanted to keep Mikal and hoped to pair him with a star. The Knicks clearly bought into that, and paid the price with that in mind. |

Bridges seems way overrated to get that many picks in a trade. Nets definitely cooked with this trade.
Especially since reports are he requested a trade to the Knicks and he was ready to pressure them saying he would sign with the Knicks if anybody else traded for him. |

That definitely seems to point to the Lakers, maybe a 3 team deal while we get Cam Johnson and another good player and the Nets get a pick or 2 and the 3rd team gets a asset from the Lakers and Nets |

Seems many current fans would actually prefer getting picks over getting good players to compete. They appear to prefer to be in the Nets shoes right now instead of the Knicks.
I’d take the Knicks spot all day every day…2nd seed the prev season then going all in for a ship…give me that. It’s cool if some disagree, we just see things differently and that’s ok.

Man, those 4 dudes are lucky AF. My first job out of college was with two of my best friends (35+years at this point) and it was truly the time of our lives. We were making "real" money for the first time, young and not a care in the world. To play with 4 of your college teammates that you went the distance with has to be something else. That's not even considering the fact that they're in the Big Apple with all the money in the world and access to everything life has to offer.

Cam Johnson, Day'Ron Sharpe for Rui, Gabe, #17, a '26 swap and two second rounders is a trade I'd be willing to make.
The Nets could turn around and swap Rui for another first, for sure. |
