Let’s see how much money LeBron takes. He only needs to take a small haircut to keep us under the second apron. I think $48M would keep us safely under. If he takes a max to put us $500K over the apron, he is going to look very bad in my eyes.

When it doesn’t work out and he takes the max he can point to this and say seeee I tried to help the Lakers after they hired the guy I wanted for a coach and made my sons dream come true (like the spoiled little brat who gets a pony for her birthday), but they failed.

I stand corrected Miggz, it “is” an all time low, we don’t have to wait for “was” as it’s happened in now. My bad, you were right.

@Kfkilla, if LBJ offers and Rob fails that’s on Rob…not LBJ…saying that nothing can be done with the MLE is a cop out smelling of hater cologne. Then devaluing it to Vincent money that’s ~$2m lower than MLE to fake the impact puts the narrative in an all time low status.

That didn’t last long right… Funny predictable at this point. 😂😂😂

Seems like I might have been right. Oooh 2M more than GV money! ZOMG, what will we do with all that extra cash?!?!? ROFL!

So much for “taking less.”

One of the biggest bull (bleep) I have ever seen in sports.

1. Dude was never going to take a pay cut
2. He was never going to leave LA (which sucks for our beloved franchise).

Now we are back to being a fringe play-in team depending on leaps from AR, Christie and maybe that rookie contributes…

100% Agree if he want to help the team he would sign the contract for less money. He didn’t

It was plot against Rob and the lakers to embarrass the team and the management. At least the lakers don’t own him any favors.

Or... Pelinka tried to make the requisite moves but other teams didn't value our assets enough?

Free agent LeBron James has agreed to a two-year, $104 million maximum deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN. Deal includes player option and no trade clause.

As expected. Despite the media hype of a “discount” there was no other expected ending.

Lakers management has been following the same blueprint of maximizing the marketing and merchandising of the James train since they first signed him.

The championship and extended the years playing at a high level have been a pleasant surprise, but this has been about the milestones and retirement tour all along. The new contract just keeps it rolling down the road.

The Redick and Bronny fiascos are simply required to maintain the James/ Lakers hype. Both the Lakers and Klutch are masters at this “ look at me” mentality.

From the lack of coaching hires and free agents seeking out the Lakers as a destination, it appears the rest of the NBA community is not as enthusiastic as many Laker fans.

Let’s just hope they can squeeze out some wins and at least be competitive and entertaining. Doubt they can get past frustratingly mediocre but this strategy will sell tickets and be discussed. Obviously the most important thing at this point to Management and Klutch.

What happened to giving a week? ROFL. Well played Bron. Well played. You got everything you wanted and embarrassed Rob/Jeanie. Perhaps they deserved it. I don’t know.

Take a chill pill. Sharing information doesn’t make someone an idiot.

There are a lot of idiots here, but MJST ain’t one of them.

They even throw in the No Trade Clause.

Great off-season for LeBron, they did everything but name the arena after him.

Lmao. Lebron knew Klay wasn’t going to come to this (bleep) show…all this crap is a ploy for him to look good.

“Not involved in coaching hire, but texted Hurley”

“Not involved, but do a podcast with the current coach”

“Not involved, but my son is selected #55” while everyone else would have passed and he would be UDFA.

Lebron is just preying on our clueless desperate owner and her little finger Pelinka.

He’s strictly in “accrue maximum funds for my Vegas franchise” mode. Thanks for drafting my son!!!!

Edit: It’s sad that the Lakers have become the Klutch bank account and whatever a 40 year old wants. A 40 year old with the window completely shut. Jeanie should be ashamed for what she has done. It all starts with ownership.
