AD was huge that series because Dwight allows him to play PF for some time. AD at PF allows him to roam around on defense which is his strongest suit as a defensive guy... Man to man he struggles against big body bigs. |

Where have you been under Silver? He turned Saturday into the nba matchup night on national tv. He also fit the narrative of ufc, boxing, wwe all moving their pay per views to Saturday because of increased viewerships and gates from families |

They did replace two starters who gave them NOTHING in that Lakers series in Paul Millsap and Gary Harris with Gordon and KCP. But Jokic did improve from that year. In 2020, I never got the sense that Jokic was even better than AD, much less Bron. Now - I think Jokic is so good (best player out of the 4) and Murray so clutch that its legitimate to say that duo is better than our duo. In fact its not just legit, it may be correct with how well those two excecute togther in crunch time. |

He always puts up much better numbers in the playoffs. He's the one we need to stop, even more than Jokic.

I could make an argument that Aaron Gordon was the difference between us sweeping them and then sweeping us. Big, strong, versatile, plays defense, cuts for dunks, eat our small guys |

How would it be a failure? We’re not a championship favorite, we’re going up against the best team in the nba as heavy underdogs.
Failing is when we underperform under expectations. Were expected to not win a title nor beat Denver.
Failure is losing when you should’ve won. Don’t give me “we’re the lakers and we only celebrate championships ” nonsense. That’s a dumb casual take. Anything that happens from here on is gravy if you live in reality |

We can't stop Murray, or Fox, or Booker or any guard with half decent skills. It's our "weakness". We've lost KCP who was supposed to be the dedicated defensive stopper. We've lost Dwight and not replaced him with another big. Without another big, our interior defense suffered and our rebound tanked. Usually, in the playoffs or in any game, defense and rebounding win games.
I wonder what would happen if we got someone like Gobert to replace Howard and fill in the role of the twin pillars. 
The Nuggets are big so they could bully us just like how our 2020 team was big and we just bullied everyone. They also have Murray whom we can't stop. That's why I've been saying they match up well against us. AD bullies a lot of teams but he can't do it against the Nuggets. The Suns have so much trouble with AD that's why we match up so well against them. Suns could beat Nuggets with their scoring.
It's all about matchup. I was planning on having the Suns eliminate the Nuggets for us in the second round and then we'd take care of the Suns in the WCF but that's all out the window now.

Can’t believe there are actually people pissed that we won this game and didn’t try and duck Denver…
If we wanted to make the finals we were going to have to play them either round 1 or the conference finals. I really don’t understand why playing them in the conference finals would be so much better/easier. Just get it over with now |
