I agree. I think he's gonna be big for us.
I want a game winner 3 from him. Unlike Danny Green. _________________ đđ đ đ đ #18!!! |

All I ask is he somehow learn to play defense, because I'm afraid having him paired up with Melo and Westbrook is going to make this Laker squad a turnstile. Maybe if WB gets the hook after 5 turnovers then Ellington and Reeves can play the final 3 quarters and we'll have a shot. |

As Vogel starts to narrow his rotation I feel Ellington eventually will be on outside looking in. Vogel has already started to fall back on his tried and true recipe of defense first and WE does not fit this mold. |

Quote: | Los Angeles Lakers -at- Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned guard Wayne Ellington to the South Bay Lakers for practice today on rehab assignment.
Ellington will practice with South Bay today and then be recalled to Los Angeles immediately after practice. |

I learned from you. Just returning an insult for an insult.
So we can either stop this childish sh*t before the mods get involved or continue on and get warned/suspended. Your choice.
Haven't you noticed I don't normally posts against your comments but in this instance I made an exception. |

I mean if you give him Monk's minutes. You're getting probably a much better defender. And about the same shooting. Less talent outside of the shooting, but more consistency and IQ.
A lot has been said about the "vets". But the "vets" are the guys getting it done. Melo has been huge. Bradley was a huge pick up. Baze is KCP 2.0
I mean other than Reaves, it's been the vets that so many thought were washed that are getting this team through this early part of the season.
I mean I for sure like the talent of THT and Monk has some too. Lets see what Nunn brings. But right now, the dependable guys are Melo, Baze, Bradley for me. And the average age of those guys is way above 30, and been in the league a long time. Ellington may be an addition to that. I don't know, but I am looking forward to seeing Monk get some DNP-CDs until he improves his defensive effort/IQ. |

Agreed...I really thought he would be the odd man out if Bradley impressed...I think Bradley has probably earned a roster spot...but if that's the case and we do nothing it'll cost us $7 million. So I now think if Bradley sticks maybe Baze is the odd man out. He was horrible last night and hasn't been too impressive lately. Out of THT, Nunn, Monk, Avery, Wayne, Reaves, Baze to me is the least impressive. |

If he can get 2 threes a game on 40-50% shooting, I'll take it. _________________ âYou can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.â - Kobe Bryant |

He's showing he can be useful. Now the coaches have to make sure the offense can cater to him, and the ball needs to rotate so that he gets it in good position. |

Ellington didn't see much action in the second half but he stepped up again and shot lights out with some timely 3 pointers (4-6 treys)early on.

In the 1st half, Ellington's 3-4 from behind the arc and Bradley's 4 1st half treys were tremendous boosts that kept us in the game early.
Their efforts allowed the Lakers to get build confidence and get into a rhythm. |

Yeah. Imagine that say AD/Bron/Westbrook at some point in begin to lock in defensively. You're seeing some signs of life of our D now. Even with Westbrook, but especially AD. Now add a motivated playoff level defense Lebron. Now, when you see teams pack the paint on AD/Bron/Westbrook. You have a guy like Ellington on the corner. A guy like Melo, on the wing. Damn - that's gonna make teams scramble. But they have to also play D. I mean AD/Melo/Bron/Ellington/Westbrook will be tough to defend because there's good spacing, but it has to be both ways. I look forward to this hopefully happening at some point. |
