Where is Russ? Don’t “superstars” usually get on all NBA teams? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Lol. They control the media so powerfully that they got LeBron the amazing number of TWO votes.

So how about all the others that voted for him? Why single out 2? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

He was the runner up at the forward position. The vote distribution is interesting. Siakam got the last spot on the third team, but there is a big gap between him and everyone else. Basically, 14 guys got almost all of the votes for the 15 slots.

Butler had a lot of team success, but (like Lebron) he missed a lot of games and his personal performance wasn't as good as last year.
It's almost as if the voters were sure of 5 of the 6 forward spots, but their opinion on the 6th spot was "none of the above." |

Nobody on our team deserved to be on that list. Notice every last one of them made the playoffs, except one guy. |
It's not common for a player to wish the playoffs and make the all-NBA team, but it does happen every few years. Kemba Walker, Kevin Love, and DeMarcus Cousins are a few guys who had that happen as well. |
Yeah All-NBA voting isn't MVP voting. There's much less bias towards team success. |
That's true. In fact, back in the 60s there were years when Bill Russell won the MVP award, but Wilt made 1st all NBA team and Russell made 2nd all NBA team. |

You have two or three guys who like to spend all day in LG, reminding everyone over and over again that they don't like LeBron and have never liked him.
They've pretty much become white noise at this point. |

Jimmy's team was #1 in the East
Lebron's superteam was #11 in the West

All NBA isn't usually based on team records. And the voters (and a lot of them picked LBJ). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Lebron is def still a top 15 player, probably top 10. He's the best player in the NBA for a game or two, but then physically he has to take off games for going all out. That's why his value falls. Him making all-NBA teams is certainly justifiable in my eyes. And I still want him traded, because I think he is the one we can get value for, and he is the one most likely to just walk in FA because he knows the importance of a 5th ring in his legacy. Appreciate Lebron big time, to be playing at this level at this stage of his career. |

I pretty much the feel the same, i'm indifferent about Bron staying or going at this point and if we can get some good value back i'm all in for that option especially with Russ clearing the books after next season. Some here are getting way into there feelings and deflecting that dislike into Bron like it makes sense at all.. If we're talking just last year i'd still take him over Butler as the better player and he's easily top 10-15 still so not much of a stretch he grabbed an All-NBA spot especially when you factor in reputation and for how long he's been doing it which absolutely happens with voters as well and is nothing remotely new. |

Sure, that’s why Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Zach LaVine and Dejounte Murray all made the all-NBA team because Klutch forced the media to vote for them and… oh, never mind. |

Klutch’s goal is to become the biggest, most powerful sports+media agency in the world.
They want to be Boras on steroids. This is why they have ventured into NFL and executive/coaching/media for their clients.
LeBron is the face of Klutch so food chain starts with him and trickles down, but it’s pretty clear what the motive of Klutch is…and their spin on it is to have the players be more powerful than the franchises/organizations employing their clients. For example, Lebron, Simmons, Lavine, etc.
They have made it so not only do their top end guys get paid, but they also have the power on when they feel like playing or not playing… |

I'm wouldn't say that's unique to Klutch. You have seen the same thing from plenty of players not associated with Klutch -- Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving, Westbrook, Harden. But Lebron is the face of player empowerment.
The notion of NBA players being employees is outdated. The superstars are more like their own corporations that contract their services to a particular franchise for a specific period of time. They will exert whatever pressure they can to get what they want.
And that is the job of a sports agency -- to get their clients what they want.
I don't see that changing. It's not clear that the owners have the ability to negotiate a CBA that will dismiss player empowerment. |
